Agents of SHIELD Season 4 Episode 1 "The Ghost" Review

With the Sokovia Accords and with Hydra destroyed, S.H.I.E.L.D. no longer needs to operate in the shadows; Coulson and Mack team up to confirm the presence of Inhumans; May needs to train specialist strike teams.

This was a fairly enjoyable and good episode with some great parts to it. I kind of like the fact that Coulson is no longer the director for the fact that he can go back to disobeying the director and do what he thinks is right. I wish they would have shown who the new director is because I want to know if it is Talbot or someone new. Simmons now being somewhat of a head person is a little weird to me because she doesn't seem like that much of a very assertive person, which really shows in this episode. And I just feel like I might grow to kind of hate her if she keeps up being this super rule follower, even if she did have a good reason as to why she took the job. Then I liked that this episode didn't really focus too hard on one character and gave every main character a little bit of time to shine. Mack and Yo-yo's relationship I kind of want it to continue on a grow but it is also bugging me a bit because it feels super pushed. But seeing Yo-yo being somewhat of an informant for Daisy of what SHIELD is up to was kind of a fun arrangement to set up. Ghost Rider wasn't actually too bad in this episode and very entertaining to watch. All his scenes were done really well in the idea of sticking with the comic well enough so far, while also mixing some stuff up. I did like the one comment made in this episode that everyone is attached to something and that saying at the end of this episode even included Ghost Rider. The scenes with Fitz and ADA were fine but I defiantly feel like the eventual outcome of it all will come back to bit Fitz and maybe even hurt his relationship with Simmons. Overall I really enjoyed this episode and it was a really good starting episode for a season.
