Elseworlds Review

Destiny is rewritten and Oliver becomes Barry Allen and he is now the fastest man alive and Barry Allen becomes Oliver and he is now the vigilante of Star city also called The Green Arrow.
This was a really entertaining and great episodes that did a good job of setting up for future crossover episodes as well as having a very fun and entertaining it story in itself. A lot of my complaints with the series of crossover episodes are weird because they're the exact opposite of my complaints about the Crisis on Earth X crossover because in Crisis on Earth X it had a problem that it was so slow and trying to fit everything into four episodes just it felt like they run out of storylines causing was so much filler. Whereas for Elseworlds crossover it felt so rushed and like it was really hard to keep up with everything that was going on with all their plans and stuff.
That being said everything with Barry and Oliver was really fun with them having to live each other's lives and have each other's powers and had to figure out how to make everything work was fun especially with Barry trying to be the weapon that Oliver has built himself to be and then Oliver trying to use Barry's Flash's power was so funny. Then giving Superman a bigger role and have him play a part in this series of crossover episodes was fun to see how he's been doing and what his plans are for the future with Lois and then him leaving Supergirl behind to defend Earth herself. The introduction of Batwoman was also really great where she is not a huge fan of Oliver and sort of giving off the presence of her wanting to protect our city and not really wanting Oliver and Barry they're causing distractions. With that I'm not a huge fan of Batwoman and I never really have been but I feel like Ruby did a really good job of portraying Batwoman and I'm very interested to see where that storyline might go in the future even though I might not watch her series.
Then everything with The Monitor and him having this idea of setting up the potential of the Crisis of the Multiverse and him trying to find the true heroes and the true Earth that will reign dominant was an interesting thing. And how everyone work together to defeat him was great where they had this idea of The Flash and Supergirl having to run and fly in opposite directions to slow down the Earth's rotation so that they could defeat him before he had the potential to change the story again wasn't an interesting tactic even though Oliver had to step in and change things to be able to save Barry and Kara's lives.
Which that leads to my idea that there is substantial chance that Oliver is going to die in the next crossover because he had to make some sort of deal with The Monitor in order to save Supergirl and The Flash and I feel like Oliver willingly gave up his own life to do so, but that's all saved for the Crisis of the Multiverse. I'm so excited to see what they're going to do for the Crisis of the Multiverse event because it is such a big storyline and I'm curious to see what they're going to do with it once everything ends because in the comic the ending led to several heroes deaths so I'm curious to see who might be killed off or if they're going to kill anyone off. Because in the comics  Supergirl died, so would they replace her with Oliver or potentially Superman which I think would be cool to see. And then the potential for Superboy to come in to fill his father's spot. Then also several other characters that have sort of become mainstays also died in the comics like with Lena Luthor so I'm curious to know if they'll kill her off and have her brother Lex become the new main bad or if they're going to trade places there and have Lex die instead. But anyways I'm so excited to see what they're going to do with the Crisis of the Multiverse crossover and overall this was a really fun series of episodes and I'm so excited to see what they're going to do next.

Supergirl Season 2 Episode 2 "The Last Children of Krypton" Review

Supergirl is hurt by a kryptonite-powered villain sent by Cadmus to attack National City. Superman blames Hank since the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. In the meantime, Kara's first day at her new job doesn't go as planned when she meets her new boss.

This was a really great episode to sort of put a hold on things with Clark and go back to somewhat of normal. I really enjoyed seeing Clark and watching him and Hank working together to try and stop Cadmus. All the parts with the kryptonite being stolen I kind of understood but it was still a little confusing to me. Then all of Cadum's plans were a little confusing because they made it sound like they have been planning things for years but then also kind of making things up as they go. Winn at the DEO is still really interesting to me because I don't really know how I feel about it, he does add some comedic aspect to the DEO but it still just feels a little odd. Kara's new job and new boss are very interesting to see and for some reason I kind of like because this boss actually doesn't care for Kara at first instead of being like Cat where she didn't like Kara in public but in private she was okay with her. Then Cat stepping away for a while is something I'm not a big fan of because I like Cat so I hope it doesn't last too long. But with that being said I can't wait to see what boss James might be like and how that will affect his relationship with Kara possibly. Overall I have to say I really liked this episode and I can't wait for more.

Supergirl Season 2 Episode 1 "The Adventures of Supergirl" Review

Kara teams up with her cousin to stop a new threat in Central City, leaving Alex feeling left out. In the meantime, Kara and Hank are stunned by the pod that crash landed on Earth.

This was a really great season opener episode that did a good job of introducing Clark without going too far into his backstory and making the whole episode about him. Then also introducing Lena Luthor was a storyline that I was not expecting but it was a really interesting plot that I can't wait to see it play out even more. Clark was also really great at bringing a new sort of humor to this episode that was really fun to see. Winn was a little confusing because did he lose or quit his job at CatCo that he was hanging out at the DEO so much and trying to get a job there because I understand that he enjoyed working for the DEO but he wasn't at CatCo at all in this episode so what is going on. Hank and Clark's history as to why they don't like each other I like the fact that they managed to cover the topic in one episode and not drag it no, but I also feel like it is kind of a dumb reason to dislike each other to the extent they seem to. The DEO's new office is kind of cool and I like it better that they are right there in the city and no longer out in the middle of nowhere. Kara trying to settle on a new job in this episode was a little interesting with all the struggles she had with making the final decision to become a reporter. Then Kara's relationship with James is a little confusing because they were together at the beginning of this episode, then they talked a bit and I think they broke up, and then by the end of this episode I don't know if they were back together or not or really I just have no idea what was going on there. Overall this was a really great and interesting episode and I really can't wait to see what will happen next.

Supergirl Season 1 Eisode 20 "Better Angels" Review

Supergirl is forced to do battle with an unexpected enemy as she risks everything - including her life - to stop Non and Indigo from destroying everyone on Earth.

This is a really great episode I really did enjoy I really like the whole beginning scene where Kara is fighting against Alex and Alex is under the mind control. And the fact that Non had all these Kryptonian devices to give to Alex to be able to easily fight against Supergirl was kind of weird that he but also kind of cool to see it all on her. But it was even better to see a violent shop with Alex's mother and her being the only one to actually break Alex out of the mind control. Which of course brought back to what I send the previous review how hope actually managed to be something that works was a little weird. It was also a little weird just how well everything just kind of got back to normal once everything worked out. But it was kinda nice to see the little talk between James and Winn, and Kara about all that went on while James and Winn were under the control. Then bringing Lucy's father back into the DEO and him still not really liking Hank and still thinking that he will betray them all was a little weird, but it was just fine I guess with eventually how everything turned out. It was also kind of weird how quickly Maxwell realized that something was going really really wrong, and finding out that Non had changed plans to make it so that this soundwave change from controlling people's minds to slowly killing them by tightening up the frequency. I really like the scene where Kara goes and talks to Cat about how much she enjoyed working for her and just having this whole background notion in Kara's head that she could end up being dead once this day is over because she has to go in do the final fight with Non. I also really like the moment where at the DEO they have Superman just laying there and still unconscious while Supergirl's doing just fine on her own. Then the whole ending actual fight scene between Non, Indigo, Supergirl, and Hank was a really cool with how it was all done and just the splitting up of the groups to where it is Non and Supergirl going against each other and on the side there's Indigo and Hank going against each other it was just really well done really great. And I'm just really happy that Hank made it out of this alive even after he got the crap beat out of him multiple times. Then the whole ending conversation between Kara and Alex was really sad but then the whole twist of events where Alex went and got into Kara's pod and went and got her out of the middle space is a really fun scene. Then the whole ending dinner scene with all the main sort of people was really sweet and definitely left a lot of open doors for where the next season could go. And as overall I'm really happy with how this episode went about doing things and I absolutely can't wait for the next season.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 19 "Myriad" Review

Non and Indigo use mind control to make the citizens of National City their army, so Kara must find a way to save her friends.

This was a really good and fairly interesting episode. I kind of liked the random tag team group that was put together that being Supergirl, Cat, and Maxwell and having them be the only ones who weren't under the mind control. It was a little weird in my mind that Maxwell gave Cat these earrings that stopped the signal from controlling her mind, which was nice but why Cat out of all the people Maxwell could have chosen. I kind of like how willing Maxwell is to also keep Kara's secret, he will joke about it a bit to people who don't know but it is so casual that way he does it can also be unnoticeable. It was also kind of fun that they brought Superman into the mix of all this to help stop everything only for him to end up under all the mind control himself. Maxwell's whole plan was a little far fetch in my mind with him wanting to set off a bomb full of kryptonite that will kill and the Kryptonians including Supergirl and Superman as well as some few hundred innocent people. Even for Maxell that just doesn't seem like all that great of an idea. But that being said Supergirls plan seemed even crazier where she is just using hope to fix everything if a person is hopeful for some reason the mind control doesn't work on them. Alex and Hanks scenes where very fun but Alex wanting to go back with Hank to National City seemed like such a bad idea in my mind and with how everything turned out it was a pretty bad idea. Overall this was a fairly good episode but it definitely was a setup episode for the next episode.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 18 "Worlds Finest" Review

Kara gains a new ally when the Flash arrives from a parallel universe and helps her fight the Silver Banshee and Livewire in exchange for helping him return home.

This was a really fun and great episode that managed to still focus on Kara with just enough of a sprinkling of Barry. I did like just how quickly Barry sort of got integrated into the friendship group and was just so willing to help the rest of the group and the city. The beginning with Siobhan was a little weird because Winn knew that she wasn't stable with her new abilities and the DEO couldn't really do anything about it but they all just kind of let her go into the world alone. And of course, she goes and attacks Kara almost instantly. I don't know much about the background of Silver Banshee so I don't know how accurate her story plot is but either way it is a very weird story plot in my mind. Having a jealous James was a little weird in my mind but also a bit funny in my mind because it is Barry. Having a team up between Livewire and Silver Banshee was kind of cool but they didn't really work together that much they just kind of were in the same place at the same time. But Cat's fear of dying and leaving her sons all alone was a very interesting turn in her personality. Then the whole city changing their minds and trusting Supergirl again was really fun especially when the fire department showed up. Overall this was a very fun episode and with how it ended I can't wait to see more.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 17 "Manhunter" Review

J'onn J'onzz reveals how he met Jeremiah Danvers and assumed the identity of Hank Henshaw.

This was a really great episode but it did have some part to it that I'm a little confused on. The whole investigative side of this episode where it is actually just telling a whole lot of backstory to say how everything came to be was done really well. The part showing J'onn and Jeremiah's first encounters with each other was really great with how it was done and the ending of how Jeremiah died I defiantly was not expecting. But I do feel with the whole investigation that the army picked the wrong people to do all the investigation because I can kind of understand why Lucy was there to help tell if someone is lying or not. But the other guy with how Add to dictionary he was and this apparent massive relationship he had with the original Hank I feel all that should have been disqualifying for him to be conducting the investigation. Then the final questioning of Alex was interesting because how they chose to frame the question on the lie detector technically Alex wasn't lying they were just asking the wrong questions. I did also like that basically every member of the DEO seemed okay with J'onn being Hank. Winn and Siobhan scenes where she is really sad and then try's to come up with a way to get back at Kara was very interesting and I liked the line from Cat saying that she wished that she could fire Siobhan all over again with even more anger. Then the ending where Hank and Alex take off and Lucy is now the acting head of DEO makes me very curious to see what might happen next. Over all this was a really interesting episode and I can't wait to see the next one with The Flash.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 16 "Falling" Review

Red Kryptonite makes Kara malicious and dangerous while Cat appears on The Talk (2010) to discuss Supergirl.

This was a really great and fun episode that took a lot of different material and actually managed to mix it all together really well. The whole part of actually introducing the Red Kryptonite to Kara was really weird with it being sort of hidden amongst a fire. Then it was even worse when the truth was actually reviled saying that Maxwell was actually planning on using it on Non because how was a simple satellite dish ever really going to attract Non enough for the Red Kryptonite to actually work, and even then I feel one of Non's henchmen would have gone instead of Non himself and when that henchman started acting weird he probably would have been caged up or killed, so how was this ever going to work out right. It was really fun to see Kara in these very drastic different outfits and how she still managed to do everything the same at first but with a slightly different twist to it. Then as the episode went on she just became more and more aggressive all leading to the awesome scene where Supergirl those Cat off of her building. Like I said now that Winn and James know the location of the DEO it really seems like they can just walk in and out completely freely. And Maxwell as well was weird too when he just kind of walks in a admits his mistake and then offers to help them fix Supergirl it just seemed really weird and out of place. Then where did Kara get that new uniform from at the end because it really seemed to come out of nowhere and is it just like some kind of standard issue uniform on Krypton that everyone seems to have it is some form? The ending fight scene was interesting and I can't wait to see what they are going to do about Hank. Overall this was a really fun and interesting episode.

Supergirl Season 2 Episode 15 "Solitude" Review

Kara travels to the Fortress of Solitude hoping to find information on how to defeat Indigo, a being from her past who can travel through the Internet. In the meantime, James and Lucy reach a crossroads in their relationship.

This was a very interesting episode with a really nice villain that I wish that we could have gotten to know a bit more of in this episode. Because with Indigo they just kind of threw her in there with a little back story but it was really confusing and kind of put out there like it is supposed to be common sense for everyone. They did say that that Indigo had some kind of background with Non, but what was it? And like how long was Indigo around before she finally decided to make herself known because I think they did say that she only could really make herself known because of the solar flares going on, but besides that has she been just hanging around on the internet since prison crashed. The moment of showing the Fortress of Solitude was really great with showing all these mementos from different things that are important to Superman. I don't really remember Superman ever taking James to the fortress but that is not that big of an issue in my mind because it could have easily been Kara who knew its location even though she had never been there herself. And I don't know how I feel about the idea of telling Lucy about Kara's secret but maybe it might be good for the group once they finally get around to doing so. The relationship between Winn and Siobhan but at least we don't have to worry about him constantly pinning over Kara that much anymore, or at least until Siobhan eventually probably breaks his heart. Overall this was a really great episode with some especially great moment to it.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 14 "Truth, Justice and the American Way" Review

Kara battles the Master Jailer while dealing with a second assistant at CatCo and disagreeing with James over the DEO’s methods.

This was a very interesting episode that I really don’t know how I feel about it. A part that kind of confused me was the DEO’s confusion of who this person going around killing the escaped prisoners was. But it wasn’t that I didn’t like that they couldn’t figure out his actual identity it was more that they couldn’t decide if is was another escaped prisoner, a jailer, or just some random person until the very end when they discover his identity. But in all that time they have all this information on the jailers of the prison that I feel they could have matched his uniform to the jailers uniform. Then I really wished to know what this jailer’s whole plan was because he just seemed to be killing the prisoners now matter their crimes and when asked he said that he was recreating the prison, so how do those two things work out. And the jailer also said that he was happy that he and Supergirl were doing similar work but then he was also more than willing to kill her, all that I was just really confused on. Then James showing up at the DEO unasked just like I was expecting was nice with him finally setting in stone that maybe keeping Maxwell isn’t the smartest of ideas. I did like the parts at Catco with the new assistant seeming to be everywhere and no one really seeming to like her. And I kind of can’t wait to see what the plan with this new assistant might be. Overall I really enjoyed this and it had a lot of great parts to it.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 7 "Human for a Day" Review

Kara and her friends are forced to rely on their inner strength and courage when an earthquake strikes National City, while Alex's mistrust of Hank reaches its breaking point when the earthquake traps them in the DEO with an alien escapee called Jemm.

This was a really great episode to show more of Kara without Supergirl. Because that is what this whole episode revolves around is Kara having blown out her powers and needing time to recover and it happened to be on the worst day possible for that. I did like the joke early on in the episode where Kara caught a cold and Cat complains about it saying the only reason she hired Kara was because she never gets sick. And then of course shortly after that Kara falls and hurts her arm. Of course, there are the scenes in this episode where it's like a bunch of people complaining were is Supergirl this one time we need her, like all the other times she did show up weren't as important. Then it was really sad when it was brought up that Clark usually only needs 48 hours to recharge while it has been longer than that for Kara so maybe she has lost her powers for good, which is just a weird thought to have in my mind. Then, of course, the one scene where Kara decided to get all suited up to help out even without all her powers was really great with how that scene was all planned out and organized. Then all the scenes with Alex and Hank were really great with when they were added into the episode. But all the bitterness Alex had towards Hank in this episode could have been toned down a bit, but I also understand why it was there. With the similarities to the same events that happened to her father playing out in front of her face. Then the ended between Alex and Hank I was not really expecting but it also makes sense to some degree in my mind. Overall this was a really great episode and I can't wait to see what the next episode will bring.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 6 "Red Faced" Review

Stress makes Kara go too far during a training exercise against a military cyborg commissioned by General Sam Lane, while Cat's mother comes to visit and Winn helps Alex investigate her father's death.

This was a really great episode that had a lot of great points to it. I really liked the whole underground saying that I girl needs to find a way to get out there stress in a healthy way because if a girl holds it in for too long and cause it to blow up in their face they'll be seen as weak, and I loved that so much because it is so true. The one scene that showed Kara getting out her anger alongside James was really great when it showed James just using a regular punching bag, but Kara was using a car hung up like a punching bag to get all of her anger out on. I really liked seeing more of the Lane family even though they were such jerks to both Supergirl and James. The game night scene with the main group of characters was also great to see what Winn and Kara could be if Kara just gave him a chance, as well as seeing the awkwardness of them right now. Then all the scenes with Cat's mother were also great to see what Cat is like never she is not the one on top of everybody else. Red Tornado was an interesting enemy for this episode because of the fact that up until the end of this episode he was just a tool for someone else's evil doing, and then when he finally came into his own Kara ended him. And I wish that doesn't stay perminate and eventually he comes back because I would really like to see more of him. Then the ending where Kara and Alex finally find out about what happened to Alex's father was really interesting and I'm curious to see where that might lead to. Overall this was a really great episode and I can't wait to see what the next one will bring.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 5 "How Does She Do It?" Review

Kara must protect National City from a series of bombings and babysit Cat's son, while James is visited by Lucy Lane.

This was a very fun and great episode, that surprisingly for all the chaos this episode was supposed to show it actually did a good job at splitting between Kara and Supergirl. The whole plot with Kara babysitting was done really well, and I really loved the kid and I hope he comes back for future episodes. The idea of having Cat's son be obsessed with Supergirl was also a really great and fun tie in to mix everything together. I also really liked the part where they are playing video games on Cat's giant TV screens, but I feel like that would be really hard to do with all the cut offs. I wonder how it was organized that when Cat's gone James is in change because I thought he was just the photographer, so how did that all work out to put him in charge. I really kind of want to see more of how the office works without Cat there because that seemed like a plot that wasn't really shown all that much. I did really like the tie in where the reason Cat is gone is that she won an award and finally beat out Lois Lane in doing so. The big revile of who the big bad villain is was not too surprising to me because I had a feeling about it from when we first met him at the end of the first episode. How he went about doing him pain though is really clever with playing the victim, but also really sad with how he got the other guy to take the fall for him. I really want to find out more about Henshaw because I am completely lost of what he is. Overall I really loved this episode and it was done really well.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 4 "Livewire" Review

Kara's foster mother visits for Thanksgiving, while an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into Livewire.

This was a really great episode, especially for a holiday episode. The fact that they decided in this episode to introduce a villain that isn't an alien but just a human given special abilities. It was a nice change, but it was a little weird how quickly Livewire seemed to master her powers. The thanksgiving dinner scene was also done really well with how it all seemed like no one wanted to be there. The opening scene was also fun with having Kara fighting an alien while on the phone. And all the conversation with Cat were also really great. Overall this was a really great and fun episode.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 3 "Fight or Flight" Review

Supergirl's powers are put to the test when one of Superman's most formidable enemies, Reactron, shows up in National City to take her down. In the meantime, Cat makes plans to run an expose on Supergirl.

This was really enjoyable episode to watch. The interview with Cat I knew wasn't going to go very well but I wasn't planning on it going as bad as it did. I didn't really care for but also thought it was really smart with the taunting that all the people did by saying, "when Supergirl is really in trouble she'll just call her cousin to fix everything." That line really bugged me but it also did help to push Kara to try and do things on her own. I liked the little ending chat between Clark and Kara where Clark says that he is going to leave her alone because she is fully able to fight for herself. I also liked the scene where Winn finds out that Clark is Superman. Over all this was a really great episode and I really liked watching it.

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 2 "Stronger Together" Review

Kara must put doubts aside as she tries to apprehend an escapee from the Kryptonian prison; Cat pressure James for an interview with Supergirl.

This was again a really great episode. I really enjoyed all the scenes where some of the main characters each find out the others who know Kara is Supergirl. I also really like all the on and off again play of trying to get a interview with Supergirl "before Clark Kent or Lois Lane could." The fight between Kara and her aunt was really cool but the comment at the end with the aunt saying Supergirl was stronger then she thought was a little weird because she was absolutely destroying Supergirl. I'm also curious if in the comic books the people of Krypton didn't have any idea what Kryptnite was because it seems in this show it's something the humans know about and use as a tool but Kara and her aunt had no idea about it until they where shown it and the effects it has on them. So was that the same in the comic books? Over all this was a really great episode and I hope to see the interview in the next episode.

Supergirl "Pilot" Review

After keeping her powers a secret for 12 years, Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, decides to embrace her abilities and be a hero.

I am really happy because was really great. I was worried by the trailer that they would chick flick the heck out of this show and take away the fun of a superhero show for drama and love but they didn't do that. This really reminded me a bit of the first Tobey Maguire Spider-man movie with the funny awkwardness to it. It seems like if it can keep up with the story plot they seem to be setting up for and not try and girlify the show to much this can be a pretty great show. I love the final fight scene where she uses her heat vision. I also like the invention the bad guy have that makes a radio frequency that only aliens can her that seems like a really clever idea of a thing. Over all I really enjoyed this first episode and I hope the rest hold up because I think I'm really going to enjoy this show.
