Riverdale Season 3 Episode 7 "Chapter Forty-Two: The Man in Black" Review

Fearful that he will be caught, Archie hits the road and ends up at a farm outside Riverdale; Betty finds herself up against a formidable foe from her past; Veronica makes a risky business decision that could cost her everything.
This was a really weird and not all that entertaining or exciting of an episode that had some good parts to it but it just felt so out of place. Everything with Archie and Jughead on their whole road trip adventure was just odd and out of place, where they go to this random town and get a place to stay on this farm as long as they do some work. And through their work they discovered that the Griffins and Gargoyles game has reached this town and apparently Veronica's dad essentially owns the town and everyone follows him blindly and that just felt so odd that this random mob boss guy could take over a bunch of small towns in would want to just for the chance that it could come in handy for him in the future. Then Archie having this random one-off relationship with the owner of the farm felt so odd with him just breaking up with Veronica. Then how they eventually escaped and outsmarted Hiram was just odd too and didn't make much sense and it just felt so overdramatic. Everything with Betty and her stay in the Sisters of Quiet Mercy Asylum was probably some of my favorite moments in this episode with her going up against and also teaming up with Ethel to figure out more of the history around the Griffins and Gargoyles game and dealing with some of the people that are the most in-depth into this game. Then everything with Veronica again felt like just a bunch of shoed in moments to give Veronica something to do in the episode where her whole part was to figure out how to get more money for her speakeasy so she decides to have a casino night and brings in one of her dad's mobster friend's sons to host and then she figures out a way to outsmart him so she actually is gaining a prophet and it just felt really kind of pointless and unnecessary for the grander scheme of this episode. Then just overall this was an okay episode that had some good moments but it just felt really odd and unnecessary and just way too overdramatic and overdone.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 6 "Chapter Forty-One: Manhunter" Review

Betty follows some strong leads in hopes of finding out who the true Gargoyle King is; Veronica's attempt to prove Archie's innocence lands her in hot water.

This was a very confusing and a real mess of an episode that was kind of hard to follow and really felt like they were trying to just connect events all in the hopes to start tying up all of the storylines they have set up. Everything with Betty in this episode was just a mess with her working to find out who did the original poisoning during the Midnight Clubs events. And everything with Penelope is just confusing being her motivations and actions just don't make any sense. Then everything with Jughead is just out there with him continuing to follow leads to bring him the Gargoyle King. I did enjoy the moments with them confronting Joaquin and learning a bit more about the in's and out's of the game that they haven't gotten to yet. Veronica's moments in this episode were just odd with her looking into freeing Archie and the evidence she found was just way to easy and her confrontation with her father made very little sense. Then Archie's actions in this episode were just odd where he went to confront the other kids who accused him only to find them dead at Hiram's hand. Then just overall this was a confusing episode that felt like a bit of a mess with how it was all put together.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 5 "Chapter Forty: The Great Escape" Review

Veronica devises a dangerous plan to break Archie out of juvie; Betty finds herself in a race against the clock to save Jughead when takes his investigation a step too far.

This was a really interesting but weird episode that had some good moments to it but it was also just really confusing. Everything with Jughead was interesting with him and some of the serpents playing the game and looking for new quests to go on. Then the blurring on the line between reality and the game was the main thing that was really cool but also confusing. Because I enjoyed how it was shown with Jughead narrating everything the Veronica and Archie were doing as if it was part of the game but it was just weird to see how all those similarities matched up. But seeing everything around the planning on the breakout and how every character played there part and how it all went down was very interesting to see. It was also confusing on the parts with Maddog coming back to life out of nowhere to fight Archie and Joaquin having a mission to stab Archie to gain his freedom. Then I enjoyed the bait and switch they did in order to distract the police and get Archie out of there. The ending was also interesting but confusing with the Warren going through the achenium ceremony and Archie hiding out in the bunker with others taking turns watching over him. Overall this was an entertaining episode that had some good moments to it.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 4 "Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Midnight Club" Review

When Betty confronts Alice about Gryphons and Gargoyles, Alice has no choice but to come clean about how she, along with the other parents, played the game in the early '90s, how a shocking mystery has been plaguing them all ever since.

This was a really interesting and great episode that was so much fun to watch as see how everything turned out and it was really fun to see a parent-centered episode and how they all got to where they are now. It was a little annoying how much of a breakfast club parody they decided to make this episode but with that, it was fun to see how they chose to style everything. The moments with Penelope were interesting with the truth coming out of her being groomed into being Clifford's wife and everything around that was really interesting to see. Then everything around the game and which rolls each character took was fun to see how it somewhat of macheted them perfectly. Alice being the central focus character was also an interesting move with the secret of her pregnancy and her life-changing affecting some of her actions. Which played into a really great ending moment where Alice was the only one not super high so she witnessed some of the weird things that went on around the Gargoyle King. Then the mystery around the death of the principle and one of the kids being responsible for it makes for a possible great storyline in future episodes surrounding which one of them become the Gargoyle King. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and fun episode and I can't wait to see what will happen now that more people are starting to play the game again.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 3 "Chapter Thirty-Eight: As Above, So Below" Review

Suspicious roadblocks threaten to delay the opening of the speakeasy; Betty and Jughead follow different leads; Archie is forced to make a difficult decision.

This was a really interesting and great episode that had a lot of entertaining moments to it and for a lot of the future. Everything with Archie was interesting with him having to join this prison fight club in order to not get into more trouble. And I found it really interesting how they showed his development by having him do his first fight by trying to get it over with as fast as possible then he learned to put on more of a show to be able to impress people more. I'm also very interested to see what they're going to do in the episodes to come now that Archie is planning to escape and I'm curious to see what will happen once they do escape or once I get caught trying to. Then everything with Betty and Jughead was interesting with them looking more into this mysterious game and how they both made new discoveries was really great. I enjoyed the moment with Jughead approaching Ethel about joining the game and Ethel made the comment that he could but that he could but that he would never be worthy I just thought that was a really funny sort of moment that made me laugh. And all the moments with Jughead actually playing the was really interesting to see what it was like and I'm curious to see what happened now the manuals for the game have gotten out. With Betty, it was interesting to see her finally looking into the farm more and trying to figure what they're all about and discovering some new secrets about her mother and her mother's connection to the game. Veronica's moments in this episode where not all that important but they were interesting to see her opening up this little area that everyone can hang out in and I just think it's a very interesting way to get all the characters together in one place in the future and to see how all the side characters fit into this new speakeasy makes me excited to see what they will do with them in the future. Then just overall this was a really interesting episode and I'm really excited to see what's can happen in the next episode now that it's going to be about what the parents were like when they were teenagers.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 2 "Chapter Thirty-Seven: Fortune and Men's Eyes" Review

After a gruesome discovery is made in the forest, Jughead and Betty team up to investigate; Archie navigates his new surroundings.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that had a lot of really great moments to it. Everything with Archie was interesting with him getting adjusted to life in the detention center and not knowing where he should fit in. I really enjoyed them bringing back Joaquin to cause Archie to not fit in with the Serpents because Joaquin was using how Archie was in season one. Then how Archie got to fit in was interesting with him setting up a football game for different members to fight in a more organized way. Then the ending for this episode was interesting with Archie's cellmate disappearing and Archie having to step up to take his roll in this prison. Then everything with Veronica was interesting with her doing exactly what Archie told her not to do which is that she is trying to set up and waiting for Archie to return. Then Betty and Jughead in this episode were interesting with them looking into this mysterious game that is causing people to die and how all the different people playing the game fit together was interesting. Then Ethel being a part of this game makes me really excited to see what they're going to do with her and her roll in messing with Betty and Jughead. Then just overall this was a really interesting setup episode that makes me really excited to see what they're going to do next.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 1 "Chapter Thirty-Six: Labor Day" Review

As the jury begins deliberations in his murder trial, Archie makes a surprising request; Jughead leads the Serpents against the Ghoulies latest attack.

This was a very interesting episode that did a great job of setting up what is to come for the season and created a great level of mystery. I find it very weird how they talked about how Sabrina wasn't going to crossover with this season but that if hard to believe with how much magic and witchy stuff was going on in this episode. Then everything with Archie was really well done with the looming decision around his court case making him just done with everything and truly feeling that he is set to go to prison and he is trying to say his final goodbyes but no one is really willing to give up on him. And it was really great how he opposed everyone else's views and decided to go to the detention center in order to let the case end and so everything could just be over, but no one else is really willing to give up on proving him innocent. Then Jughead's moments in this episode were really great with him navigating the role of being the new head of the serpents, dealing with the Goolies, and dealing with Cheryl's out of control nature. And I loved how they brought all that to a head when they discover that Hotdog is being held captive by the Goolies and the serpents work to get him back. I am curious now to know if because of Jughead action what the Goolies are going to do to the North side to get their revenge. Then Betty dealing with her family was interesting with Betty dealing with her mother and sister's cult-like nature and them trying to get her to join them but Betty can see through the vale of what is going on. Then I'm curious to know with how this episode ended for Betty if what she saw her mother and sister doing was just a part of her seizure or if they are going to blame it on that. Then just overall this was a really great first episode that makes me really excited to see where this season will go.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 19 "The Fanatical" Review

A disciple of Coville's escapes from what's left of his cult and gives Kara and James a journal that could help save Sam; Guardian is found out.

This was such a great episode that did a good job of standing on its own because it is one of the few episodes that has little to nothing to do with Regin. I really liked Tanya going to James to help find Supergirl and warn her about what is happening. And just all the moments around Tanya and James were really great with how Tanya treated James once she discovered his secret about being Guardian. I do however believe that they made the political message in this episode a little heavy-handedly because it was all about police brutality on black men and how James feared how people would treat him if they knew that Guardian was a black man. But with that being said Mehcad Brooks performance as James talking about what his life was like growing up as a black man was amazing the only problem was how the writing sort of spoon fed us all that information. Then the discovery how what the cult was doing as interesting but also a little weird because they discovered that the cult is working to make more world killers. Which is a pretty cool idea the only problem is when it came to this rock that can turn people into world killers is also the same rock that can destroy the world killer inside of Sam. and to me, that just seems weird and lazy. The ending fight scene was really great with Supergirl having to destroy the rock that can help save Sam in order to stop and save Olivia. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Code Black Season 3 Episode 8 "Home Stays Home" Review

Mario joins Rox and Willis on the scene of a boat crash and, in Center Stage, Leanne works to save a brother and sister who drank boiling water through a straw as part of a challenge. Also, Max's father tells Leanne to keep Ariel away from his son after he finds them kissing.

This was a really great episode with a lot of really entertaining moments to it. Everything around the father and son in the boat accident was really interesting with Willis pushing a lot of his own feeling about his own family onto this father and son so that they don't end up like Willis and his father. I especially loved the ending scene where Willis tells the father to tell the son that he loves him and the father at first brushes that comment off saying that the son knows he loves him but then the more and more he talks he starts to doubt that himself. Mario dealing with his own family troubles in this episode was also great with him also having to face Noa and a death of a patient all in one shift. And Dr. Noa and Dr. Deagio dealing with an outbreak of gonorrhea at a retirement home as a very funny side story for this episode. Leanne dealing with the two kids and their absinthe mother was an interesting story with how Leanne dealt with all of it because at first, they didn't trust the mother but then when the mother managed to spot a change in her daughter health that the doctors didn't, Leanne was willing to work with the mother more and help her to fight for her kids. The whole side story around Ariel and Max was really sweet with how it all turned out and I really loved how they managed to fit Emily into that storyline. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 18 "Shelter from the Storm" Review

When Reign starts hunting Ruby, Supergirl and Alex work together to keep her safe. Supergirl and J'onn look to Sam's mother for advice on how to stop Reign and come away with shocking news.

This was a really great episode that had so many amazing moments to it especially where it took the whole Reign storyline. All the moments with Alex and Ruby were great with the slow revile to who Reign is to Ruby. And the introduction of the Luthor mansion was such a great surprise to see it all in action and I hope there are moments in the future where they can come back to the mansion. Then everything with Supergirl and J'onn meeting Sam's mother was really well done from the fact that Sam's mother blames herself for what is going on because she made Sam suppress this other side of her for so long to the realization that Regin has always been a part of Sam in some way and has been trying to get out for years. The Legion deciding to leave was kind of sad because I really liked having them around to help out and Brainiac-5's deduction that if one legionnaire says behind to help out Supergirl their chance of success will improve by like 70% was an interesting way to get Mon-El to stay behind. And the whole reasoning for Mon-El to stay behind was really great with it bring up how Mon-El needs to decide his feeling for Kara and if he is willing to let those feeling go for good so that he can completely be with Imra. Then the whole final fight scene was great and now I'm really interested to see what they are going to do to try and save Sam. Then just overall this was an amazing episode and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 17 "Trinity" Review

Still reeling after learning about Lena's secret, Supergirl asks Guardian for a favor that could alter his relationship with Lena forever. Meanwhile, with all three Worldkillers united, Supergirl and the team brace for an epic battle.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that did an amazing job of setting a lot of things up for what is to come. I enjoyed all the scenes with Sam in this parallel dimension that she gets stuck in when Reign takes over. Just all the moments of Sam trying to not forget who she is and helping out some of the other world killers was just really well done. Then the moments of Supergirl, Lena, and Alex going into this parallel dimension to try and reach Sam and get her back in control of her own body was really entertaining. Which all lead up to a great final fight where Alex got some cool new weapons and we got to see the end of two of the world killers. Which that ending was the one part that confused me because if the two other world killers besides Reign were so disposable and Reign could just have their powers herself what was even the point of having them there in the first place. Then everything with Lena and Supergirl revolving around Lena gaining the ability to create Kryptonite was an interesting side story but it felt so heavy handed with how hard they tried to make the two of them not see eye to eye. Because yes I could see both sides of there argument with Lena bringing up how thousands of things can kill humans each day and people just live with those things, but I also understand Supergirls argent that none of those things hurt like Kryptonite does. Then bringing James into all of this and kind of making him pick a side was really great and so interesting to see the decisions he made. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode to watch and I'm curious to see what will happen next.

Code Black Season 3 Episode 6 "Hell's Heart" Review

Willis and Rox are called to the scene of a wildfire in the mountains of Los Angeles to tend to the injured firefighters, and they choose to stay to look for a missing young boy who was separated from his father in the chaos.

This was a really entertaining and great episode that had a lot of really amazing moments to it. Everything around Willis and Rox in this episode was really great with how they dealt with the thing that came there way while working in an active forest fire. It was especially great when they managed to get inside a kids mind and figure out where the hiker's son might have gone when the fire started up. And Willis finally opening up more about his relationship with his father and just more of his backstory overall was really interesting to see and I can't wait to see more. Then everything with Leanne and her dealing with her upcoming evaluation about how Ariel is adjusting was interesting with how everything turned out. The relationship between Ariel and Mario in this episode was really great with Mario learning that he needs to be there to accept that Ariel will make mistakes and he can help her through them. Everything with Eliot was interesting with him doubting his skills and always needing a second opinion even though he knows what to do and that hesitation is putting his patients lives at risk. Angus having to step up and take over because Campbell had family issues was really entertaining to see how Angus reacted when all the stress was put on him. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Code Black Season 3 Episode 5 "Cabin Pressure" Review

Over the radio, Leanne and Jesse talk a young girl through how to use the supplies on board a small plane to build a makeshift defibrillator when her mom, the pilot, loses consciousness. Also, Rox and Willis are taken hostage at gunpoint while on their way to meet the plane at the landing site. Julitta Scheel, Marcia Gay Harden’s daughter, stars as Ruby Harris, the young girl on the plane.

This was a really amazing and interesting episode that had a lot of great moments to it. Everything around that girl in the plane with her mother was just amazing with the doctor having to teach the girl everything she needed to do in order to save her mother and get both of them to the ground safely. Especially when it came to the doctor have to create a defibrillator out of the thing that the girl had on the plane with her. Then everything with Willis and Rox was interesting with them being held hostage by a man whose girlfriend got shot in a robbery gone wrong. It was especially great with how Diego got dragged into the situation and was the one to help Willis and Rox to get out of it. Everything with Campbell and Angus was interesting with one of there patients refusing to let Campbell touch him and Angus having to deal with that. Then just overall this was a really interesting and entertaining episode to watch and see how everything played out.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 16 "Of Two Minds" Review

Supergirl and Imra have different ideas on how to stop the third Worldkiller, Pestilence. However, when both Alex and Winn are seriously injured by Pestilence, Supergirl and Imra team up to stop the destruction.

This was a really great and amazing episode that had so many entertaining moments to it. I really loved how they did Pestilence in this episode and the journey to find her. It was really interesting how they decided to change the lore around Pestilence where it was previously thought that the people who get sick and die just need to be exposed to Pestilence and then to other sick people but in this episode the team discovered that the only way to get sick is if you come in direct contact with Pestilence. Then it was really interesting to see the team try and narrow down who Pestilence might be by looking at the small group of people first exposed and in that they do find her but not directly as they first thought. Then Pestilence's whole goal in this episode was interesting with her targeting the rich who refuse to freely help the sick and needy. Everything around Sam and Lena was great with Lena trying to get Sam to confront Reign and Lena discovering that when Reign come out Sam goes to a parallel universe. The ending of this episode was amazing with Supergirl finally discovering who Reign is and all three of the Worldkillers are brought together. Then moments between Imra and Supergirl were interesting with how they handled working together but having to different goals in mind just to discover as a whole they were fighting for the same goal which was to save their sisters. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and fun episode and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Code Black Season 3 Episode 4 "The Same as Air" Review

Willis and Rox arrive at the scene of a road rage accident. Elliot doubts his ability as a doctor when he's sued for his role in the death of a SWAT officer. Leanne discovers Ariel on an ice cream date with a young patient at the hospital.

This was a really great episode that had so many entertaining moments to it and it was so interesting to watch. Everything around the car accident was really interesting with the to main people in the accident going back and forth about whose fault it is and there is a slow reveal about what is actually going on. The moments between Willis and the oldest daughter in one of the cars was great with him slowly breaking down her walls and getting to the truth that she has been protecting her family from her stepfather's rage for a long time. Then the ending for this family in the car accident was so great with the oldest daughter finally standing up and saying that the stepfather is not allowed back in there house and when the mother sees the full extent of the stepfather's rage she steps back from defending him and protects her daughters. Then the other victim in the car accident who didn't make it was really sad with the moments between Jesse and the victim's wife, but it did end on a bit of a happy note with the wife discovering that she's pregnant. Everything around Elliot was interesting with him dealing with the stress of being sued and it's not the greatest of situations because Diego is doing very little to try and help him. The moments with Campbell were great with his ex-wife showing up and wanting to be a part of there daughters life again and in that, you really get to see every side of Campbell. Everything with Noa, Mario, and the drug-addicted patient was so amazing with how it brought back the same patient from the first season that Mario treated and how Mario helping this guy caused him to spiral back into his addiction. The ending moments between Mario and this patient was also amazing with bringing up the idea that if someone has an addiction and you know them it is seen as an illness but if it is someone and you don't know them it is seen as a problem that they need to get over, then Mario and this guy deciding to work together to help keep each other sober was such a touching and sweet moment. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I can't wait to see what the next episode will bring.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 15 "In Search of Lost Time" Review

Supergirl must work with J'onn to contain the chaos resulting from Myr'nn's psychic disturbances at the DEO; Mon-El teaches Kara fighting techniques he learned in the future for battling Worldkillers.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that had so many amazing moments to it. I really enjoyed the theme around this episode when it came to J'onn and Myr'nn which was the passing of the torch and how there is a moment in every life where the son has to step up and become the father. It was great how Myr'nn's anger and stress around his illness caused his illness to make everyone else around him lash out in anger at each other. So everything with Winn was really great with seeing him freak out at people around him. Then everything between Kara and Mon-El was really great with Kara finally getting all her anger towards Mon-El out but the only part that really confused me was how everything that she hated him for happened before they started dating so how could he be a horrible boyfriend because of them. The ending for this episode was really great with Kara and J'onn working together to convince Myr'nn to step down and let J'onn help him. the moments between Lenna and Samantha in this episode were also great with Lenna finally angering Sam enough to bring Reign out and show Sam the truth of who she is. Then just overall this was a really interesting and great episode to watch.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 14 "Schott Through the Heart" Review

Following the death of his father, Winn must work with his estranged mother to stop a copycat Toyman.

This was a really great episode that was a little confusing to follow because some parts felt really random but still it was so much fun to watch. I'm a little sad that they decided to kill off the Toyman because I was really hoping that he would come back and try and be in Winn's life again and Winn has to deal with that now that he is at the DEO. Even though that didn't happen I'm really happy with what they did show by them introducing Winn's mother and showing the complex relationship they have because of Winn's father. I was really hoping that with how they were setting things up that they would have Winn's mother also be evil and crazy like the Toyman and that she was behind everything and for the most part they really set it up like she was going to be the villain by saying how she knows how each of the Toyman inventions work and how she'll do anything to make up for lost time and then Winn's mother turned out to not be all that important which was a little sad. Then the actual copycat was a little confusing because of she just kind of popped up at the end of the episode and we didn't really get much of a motive behind what she was doing or why she was just so random and made very little sense to me as to why she was there. I did really like the ending fight scenes with Mon-El and Supergirl teaming up to stop some of the copycat's killer inventions. Then overall this was a really great episode that had a lot of really entertaining moments to it.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 13 "Both Sides Now" Review

The DEO captures another Worldkiller, who escapes and attacks the city's subway tunnels.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that had a lot of really great moments in it. I liked what they did with the character of Julia and how they introduced to the DEO the idea that these world killers have no idea that they are world killers. The moments between Alex and Supergirl were interesting with Alex just wanting to put Purity down while Supergirl wants to try and reach Julia that is trapped inside of Purity. But the one weak point in that whole conflict between Alex and Supergirl was how easily Alex gave in to Supergirls plan after seeing a small splinter of Julia inside of Purity that could have easily been a trick. Then everything with Samantha was great in this episode with her accepting that she is sick with something that is causing her to black out, and she decided to make up for lost time by spending the day with Ruby but Regin has other plans. The ending conversation between Samantha and Lena was really great with it final causing enough rage in Samantha that Regin comes out to play for a few seconds, so with that, I'm very curious to see what Lena will do next. Then the ending fight scene at the subway tunnel seemed really confusing and just overdramatic for what was actually going on. And all of it just kind of turned into a mess that seemed unimportant beside just giving Purity a good opportunity to escape with Regin. Then just overall this was a fun episode that had some interesting moments to it.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 12 "For Good" Review

Morgan Edge accuses Lena of plotting an attempt on his life and Kara steps in to help her.

This was a really great episode that was a little confusing and hard to understand but still, it was so entertaining a watch and see how everything played out. The whole opening scene with Morgan Edge getting into an accident after having a conversation with Lena was interesting with how it all played out and I just have a hard time understanding Morgan's logic on how it could possibly be Lena's fault. Then the slow realization of the truth of what is actually going on was interesting with it is that everything was actually planned by Morgan to find a way to discredit Lena. I really love watching as more events kept happening we got to see a more darker Lena. I still have a hard time believing that Lena doesn't know that Kara is Supergirl and that was the most troubling part of this episode when Kara would have to switch into Supergirl and Lena wouldn't notice those moments were the moments that made Lena seem really kind of dumb. Then the sort of dramatic scenes on the airplane were interesting with Morgan attempting to poison the city's water as well as kill Lena and that didn't make much sense to me with how was all planned out because the fact that if everything would've worked out how would they explain Lena's body being in the back of the plane when she was supposed to be the one flying it. It was interesting to see Supergirl saved the day by catching both ends of the plane that split half and then eventually find a way to save Lena as well as stop the poison from hitting the water. Then the moment of realization that it was actually Lena's mother that came back into the mix to protect Lena in some weird way was a little confusing with the backward logic that Lillian had. But it did add up to a really cool confession scene for Morgan and a nice fight scene for Supergirl and Mon-El. Then just overall this was a really great and entertaining episode that had some confusing moments to it but it was still a nice watch.

Code Black Season 3 Episode 3 "La Familia" Review

Jesse is in denial when his brother arrives at Angels Memorial in bad shape after being pinned in a warehouse collapse and further tests reveal he has advanced congestive heart failure. Also, Willis opens up to Rox about his brother who was killed in Afghanistan.

This was a really interesting and great episode that had a lot of really entertaining moments to it. I did really enjoy the moments between Willis and Rox and through their conversations, we finally get to learn a bit more about Willis's past mostly about his brother. Then everything with Jesse in this episode was interesting and really great with them finally introducing more of Jesse's family and seeing how that whole family dynamic works. Everything around Jesse and his brother was interesting with Jesse choosing to ignore the diagnosis that his brother is given because of the fact that he doesn't want to believe that his brother is dying and because of that he refuses to tell his brother and the rest of his family until it's almost too late. Then the whole dynamic around Jesse's and his nieces and his brother having a new girlfriend that he's been keeping secret was interesting with how they chose to approach the whole thing. Then the ending was really bittersweet with the whole entire family including the new girlfriend finally getting together to sort of worship Jesse's brother one last time. Then everything around Leanne and Ariel was interesting with them finally having the conversation on the fact that they are a family and that nothing is going to break that. Then the moments between Noa and Diego were interesting and I'm very curious to see what's all going to happen in their relationship going forward especially with Mario also being involved. Then the moments with Angus was interesting with him taking more of the pressure of being a sergeant and learning to accept a lot of the pressure and instructions given by Campbell. Then just overall this was a really great and entertaining episode I'm really interested to see what will happen next.
