Emergence Season 1 Episode 2 "Camera Wheelbarrow Tiger Pillow" Review

As Jo continues to search for answers, a mysterious man's appearance in town may cause problems for the family. Piper tries to understand her new abilities while connecting with the family.
This was a very good episode that did a nice job of building off of a lot of the big moments that they established in the pilot episode and sort of creating a world of mythos around Piper and her mysterious abilities. Everything with Benny and Jo was interesting with them continue on a quest to figure out what happened in this mysterious plane crash and how Piper is connected to it all and the recovery of this weird transistor radio that is emanating off of weird frequency when magnets get too close to it I'm very curious to see what's all going to happen there once they uncover whatever this message is that's going out. Then everything with this mystery man that's going around and collecting everything that's in connection to the plane crash or Piper was really well done with how they chose to sort of establishing him especially in the moments of him actually breaking into Jo's house. The only confusing part to me was what was he actually after because in some parts of it and made it seem like he was after Piper but then other moments made it seem like he was after the weird microchip that they collected in the previous episode and if he was after the microchip then why was the weird tracker device tracking Piper. And when he found Piper why didn't he just grabbed her rather then telling her to keep quiet that was really kind of confusing how all that played out. Then the whole ending conflict scene between Jo and this mystery man was very entertaining to see where she use the weird unnatural gravity forces and magnetism to her advantage to eventually subdue him and get him to start to confess everything that's going on. Then the ending of this episode makes me really excited to see what they're going to do next and how more of the truth around Piper is going to eventually be revealed. And just overall this was a really entertaining episode and I'm really excited to see what they're going to do next.

Emergence Season 1 Episode 1 "Pilot" Review

After Jo, a police chief, takes in a young child she finds near the site of a mysterious accident, she soon discovers the girl has no memory of what has happened or who she is. The investigation into the history that led up to the accident -- and questions as to how and why it happened -- draws the woman into a conspiracy larger than she ever imagined, with the child's identity at the center of it.
This was a really interesting first episode that did a good job of setting up a lot of the mystery around the series and the main girl of Piper. All the mystery around this plane crash and girl was really well done with how the case to show Piper's abilities and how even she is unaware of what's going on. The moments between Jo and Alex were very interesting with how they dealt with bringing Piper into there lives. I do really hope they don't end up having the two of them get back together rather instead they should keep with the idea that they got divorced for a reason. The show also did a really good job with the trailer where they mixed scenes changing around some of Jo's stories in this episode. Then just overall this was a really get first episode and I'm really excited to see where things go.

New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 8 "Three Dots" Review

A patient's treatment plan takes an unexpected turn when Max gets overly invested. Meanwhile, Reynolds celebrates his birthday with some help from the hospital and Kapoor grapples with a case that hits close to home.

This was a really great episode that had a bunch of really well-done scenes and each of the different stories told in this episode or so well done in really well detailed and had a good beginning and ending to each of them. Everything with Max and him dealing with this patient who has some form of cancer and has opportunity to get this surgery but it is much more likely that this patient will die on the operating table so Max dealing with this patient refusing to get the surgery and rather choosing to live a rather short but less painful life was an interesting thing to see how Max grapple that. And just that whole story told by this Rabbi about all these different comparisons to the Bible and all these different stories and stuff was really interesting to see how those comparisons were made. I'm still very confused and somewhat uncertain about the ending for Max we're through all this he decided to go with experimental surgery to cure cancer instead of the regular way and that just felt like a sudden turn that didn't quite fit his character in my opinion. Then everything with Dr. Reynolds and him dealing with not wanting to celebrate his birthday did make for some fun scenes but that was probably the weaker of the stories in this episode but it still did show some more of his character growth and getting to know his character more which was really interesting and entertaining to see. The moments with Dr. Kapoor were probably some of my favorite moments in this episode because his whole storyline revolves around this patient who has depression and her Asian heritage doesn't really believe in mental illness so they are struggling to grapple with how to help her when they don't necessarily believe that she's sick. And Kapoor dealing with those similar problems because he's someone who feels the same way and him going to this patient's mother and sort of working through how to approach this and how to truly understand that this is an illness that needs to be cured was really interesting to see. Then just overall this was a really entertaining episode and I'm so excited to see what they're going to do next especially with how this episode ended for Max.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 10 "Crosswinds" Review

Michaela's next-level callings are accompanied by hallucinations. Ben exploring Michaela's calling leads him to a new alliance and a powerful new adversary.
This was a very interesting episode that took a bunch of different directions and did a good job of setting up for where the story is going to lead with all the mystery surrounding the missing plane. Everything with Michaela in this episode was interesting with her looking into these weird callings she has that are going completely overboard, versus the weird voices and visions that she's had in the past and her trying to link it to different things. And she eventually makes this discovery around one of the missing but now found passengers were interesting with how she took it when this passenger started talking and her trying to figure out his whole back story. Then everything with the missing passengers that have now been found was great with them still being comatose and Saanvi sort of working to find a way to care for them until they are stable enough to take care of themselves again. Then Autumn Cox coming in and working against Ben and Michaela but also somewhat for them was interesting with how she initially wanted to get away and be friends with them but this mysterious Major and all the forces bring her back in to be their enemy was fun to see what's going to happen there once the truth comes out. Then everything with Jared was just odd with him still trying to grapple whether or not he loves Michaela or Loudes more. Then just overall this was a really fun and entertaining episode and I'm really excited to see what they're going to do next.

Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 10 "Bad Day to Be a Hero" Review

Magnum must help Rick's crush after her illegal poker game is robbed by masked gunmen.
This was a really great episode that did a good job of giving every character a role in the main story. Everything with Rick and him working on trying to save this relationship he has formed and things just keeping going wrong for him leading to a somewhat of an unhappy ending. Then meeting Rick's father and seeing some of the life he grew up in and possibly why he is the way he is was really great. The whole break down of which shady person at the poker game was involved with the robbers was interesting with how the ruled out each player until something came up. But the actual truth behind the robbery just felt like a very dramatic shift and like they were trying to fit two different episodes into one which made for a very rushed ending in my opinion. Overall this was a really fun and exciting episode that had a lot of good parts to it.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 8 "Bug a Boo" Review

While on the hunt for Jada, Harry and Charity learn a Changeling Demon is putting one of the sisters in danger.
This was a fun and okay episode that had some troubles because of the fact the three different sisters stories were so different it was a little to much plot for one episode. Everything with Mel in this episode was interesting with her joining the Sisters of Arcana to figure out what they're planning and what they took from Tartarus. The truth coming out about Jada and why she has the powers she does was an interesting concept with her being a mix of witch and whitelighter. Everything with Maggie was fun with her working to get an internship in Chicago and making Macy sign up for the dating app in order to get over her feeling for Galvin. The side story with Parker working to get the sister's blood was well done with him using his illness to his benefit. Macy going on a really bad date and getting kidnapped was a fun way to introduce the monster of the week and it being a bug monster that needs a home for its eggs was also fun to play on Harry's fear of bugs. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that was so exciting to watch and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 9 "Dead Reckoning" Review

When Ben and Michaela put everything on the line to save the other missing passengers, the mission goes horribly awry and not everyone makes it out alive.

This was a really great and interesting episode that had a very great storyline to it that was great to see play out and bring up the tension. All the steps that everyone went through to finally uncover were the missing passengers are being held and how everyone played into things was great to see everyone working together. I did have a problem with how heavily Jared is following Michaela and wouldn't really let her do anything on her own. Seeing Ben and Vance working together was great to see that Vance truly is a good guy just trying to figure everything out. Then Cal showing up and helping everyone figure things out because of his visions was really great especially with the moment with him making the comment the Ben is the only one who can guide everyone to safety was weird but great with Ben seeing a path that no one else could see. Which then lead to the other group that wasn't with Ben getting lost and hurt. Killing off Vance was surprising and I'm very curious to see what they might happen now that he is no longer there as a higher up to help. And I'm also curious to see what might happen to all these missing passengers now that they are saved but still comatose. Then overall this was a really great episode and I'm so excited to see what will happen next.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 7 "Out of Scythe" Review

When Harry informs the sisters that Hilltowne is a portal to hell, they must band together to fight off a shadowy demon trying to obtain a collection of powerful magical artifacts.

This was a really interesting episode that had some good moments to it and some moments that were a little hard to follow. Everything around the gathering the pieces of the scythe and figuring out who is after it was great. Especially with all the other kind of mystical creatures that the sister encountered. Then everything with Maggie and Parker possibly starting a relationship now that they are free from possibly hurting Lucy is an interesting thing that I wonder what is going to happen going forward once more secrets are revealed. Mel working through what she wants to do with her life with time rewriting things was interesting with the new weird electric witch showing up to add a new love interest to her life. Macy being given the task of firing Galvin was great with Macy working to figure out which is more important her new job or her friendship with Galvin. The only problem I had with Macy's scenes how easily she managed to save Galvin and prove his important by basically saying that Galvin is a good friend to everyone. Then overall I'm curious to see what will happen next now that the scythe is all put together.

Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 9 "The Ties That Bind" Review

After a 16-year-old kidnap victim escapes her captors, her parents hire Magnum, who experienced similar trauma as a POW, to find who took her.

This was a really great episode that was so interesting to watch and see how everything turned out. Everything with Amanda was very interesting with her working through all the pain of what happened to help to then be able to help Magnum track down her kidnapper. And the truth comes out more about Magnum's experiences in the POW camp was interesting to see how Higgins reacted to everything. Then the part about locating was Amanda was being held was interesting with the police searches ended up going in the wrong direction and that is why they could never find her. Then the whole truth that the reason the kidnappers took Amanda was to get her father to kill someone he had access to was an interesting twist to the story. And how Magnum managed to save the day and stop things from going bad was all just entertaining to see. Then just overall this was a really well-done episode that was so entertaining to watch.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 8 "Point of No Return" Review

Ben forms an unlikely partnership with Vance in a high-stakes race to locate the missing passengers; Michaela helps a suicidal passenger; Cal goes back to school.

This was a really entertaining episode that had a good storyline to it and it was interesting to see how everything turned out. The moments between Vance and Ben were interesting with Ben continuing to try and locate the facility that the missing passengers are being held at. It was especially great in how Ben gathered information and what other passengers were willing to help Ben and Vance out. Then it was interesting to see how much other groups are hiding from Vance and the NSA. Everything with Michaela and her adventure through this episode was interesting with her finding a possible connection between telling people about the callings and those same people ending up dead shortly after. How Michaela and Ben reacted to this news and what they did to protect those they care about and working to figure out if trouble is coming or not was just all really interesting. Then Cal going back to school was just really sweet with some of his old friends gathering up to have a good time with him again. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I'm so excited to see what will happen next.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 6 "Kappa Spirit" Review

As Maggie attempts to make amends with Lucy, she asks for Mel's help to figure out who the new Kappa member is.

This was a really entertaining episode that was so much fun to watch how everything turned out. Everything with Maggie was the main part of this episode and it was so entertaining but also a little confusing. I enjoyed this vengeful spirit working with Lucy and driving a bigger wedge between Maggie and Lucy. The confusing part came when Maggie was trying to identify which type of ghost this spirit is and she needed this book and all this help the first time around but then later she just switched her mind to a whole different section of ghost and had all this information on how to stop them without any help. Then Mel and Maggie going back in time and encountering there mother when she was pregnant with Macy made a good push forward in the storyline around the mystery of Macy. Then Macy looking more into the mark on Galvin and getting Harry's help on it was fun to see Harry interacting with Macy's friends and trying to figure out what is going on with Galvin. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that was so interesting to watch.

New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 7 "Domino Effect" Review

With a big domino transplant procedure on the line, Max must decide if he can be present in the hospital while also dealing with his illness. Meanwhile, a bond with a patient makes Bloom consider her personal life and Iggy makes progress on a long-standing case.

This was a really great episode that had some entertaining moments to it and set something up for what is to come. Everything around the transplant chain was interesting with one of the people stepping out and others not wanting to step forth to keep the chain alive. And that slight bit of selfishness was really great were they all brought up why should they help someone else if there own loved one wouldn't get help. Max just working overtime to try and keeping this going and finding a new donor was all just interesting to see. Then the storyline around this little girl with failing lungs because of where she grew up was some of my favorite moments of this episode. Just seeing Bloom relating to this little girl and really being there for her as she is afraid of everything that is going on. And the sudden realization that the father is not a match to save his daughter but he is a match to save transplant chain. That lead to one of the best moments in this episode where all these people stepped up to be tested to save this little girl because her father was willing to step in and help all these other people. Then Iggy working and helping Jenna to adjust to the idea of moving into a new foster family and being there for her every step of the way was just really sweet to see. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and sweet episode to see how everything turned out.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 7 "S.N.A.F.U." Review

Michaela tries to make sense of her newest calling; Ben goes to risky lengths to investigate the whereabouts of 11 missing Flight 828 passengers.

This was a really interesting episode that had some good moments to it. Everything with Ben was interesting with his new job that is actually him secretly looking for more information on the missing passengers. Just seeing Ben forming all these relationships with his coworkers just to get information out of them was really great. Then finally seeing Vance joining in with the investigation and working with Ben is something I’m really excited to see. Michaela’s moments in this episode was really great with her dealing with this shooting that took place with the only witness not wanting to work with the detectives. And Michaela’s whole speech on what revenge is really like and all her work to stop this kid was really great. Then the truth is revealed about Michaela’s connection to this kid and really felt like a great way to wrap up Michaela’s whole dead friend storyline. Then just overall this was a really great episode that was so much fun to watch.

Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 8 "Die He Said" Review

A man dying of lymphoma hires Magnum to find his estranged, bone-marrow-compatible brother who turns out to need Magnum’s help as well.

This was a kind of weird but entertaining episode that had some good moments to it. I really enjoyed the story as a whole around Magnum working to reconnect these two brothers as well as figure out what it is that separated them. Then the whole story around how the events going on with the two brothers and how is very similar to events that went down on a mission that went down in Afghanistan. That made it interesting to see when those similarities popped up and what Magnum did to make sure things didn’t go wrong this time with the bother was great. Then the whole story around the bother that Magnum was hired to track down was a little confusing but still entertaining where the bother stole money from these dealers that were working through the bother and the bothers friend taking off with the money. The confusing part revolved around the scene where the three guys who were tracking the bother down finally turned on each other that was just weird and felt like it was a way to quickly end things. Then the whole story around video between the two bothers was sweet with how it finally played into things and sort of finalizing things. Overall this was a sweet and entertaining episode that was so much fun to watch.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 5 "Other Women" Review

Maggie struggles with whether to tell Lucy the truth; Mel and Harry try to protect Niko; Macy is upset about her situation with Galvin.

This was a really great episode that had some really fun moments to it and it was just a really enjoyable watch. Everything with Maggie was really great with her having to help the friend she is actually hurting. And the whole reveal by the end of the episode was interesting with how Lucy took everything and it will be interesting to see how Maggie might repair there relationship. Then the moments with Macy were also interesting with this mark showing up on Galvin and this mysterious other woman showing up that really has some hypnotic control over Galvin. The whole scene where Macy and Maggie are working to decide if Galvin's new girlfriend is a succubus was really fun with how it all played out. Mel had some great moments with her trying to save Niko from this demon trying to kill Niko as she investigates the death of her partner. Then the decision to rewrite history and make it so that Mel and Niko never met was an interesting way to protect Niko. I'm very curious to see what other consequences might come out of this change to history and what happen with fate doing something that might bring them back together. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that had some entertaining moments.

Manifest Season 1 Epiosde 6 "Off Radar" Review

Cal wakes with a life-threatening fever; Ben and Michaela look for a missing Flight 828 passenger and discover more than they bargained for.

This was a really interesting but also kind of confusing episode that was still really cool to see how everything went and turned out. Everything with Cal in this episode was really interesting with him having this shared connection with this guy that is among the missing passengers. The part that kind of bugged me was with Grace and when she finally got Ben to admit what has been going on with his and she chose not to believe him and instead thought of it as him looking for an answer to what was going on with Cal. And that was just really weird to me how quickly Grace chose to brush Ben off. My favorite moments in this episode revolved around Michaela and Jared looking into these black sites and just how they went about sneaking in was really fun. Then what all went down when things started to be made more public was interesting to see what happened when Vance started looking into things. Then just overall this was an okay episode with some good moments to it.

Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 7 "The Cat Who Cried Wolf" Review

Magnum takes the case of a little girl's missing cat and, in the process, stumbles upon another cat's murdered owner who happens to be an FBI agent.

This was a really interesting episode that wasn't all that exciting but it was still entertaining to watch and see how everything played out. The whole storyline around the missing cat was a fun little extra bit to add into this episode where Magnum is doing all this different stuff to prepare to disappoint this little girl that he couldn't find her cat but because of the fact of his smaller actions he ended up bringing the cat back home and that was just an entertaining part to this episode. Then everything around the murder case was entertaining where they are looking into this death of an FBI agent and are trying to track down who killed him and why and stuff. And the truth of who actually did it wasn't super surprising but it was interesting with how everyone chose to approach it where it was an another FBI agent that had kind of gone rogue. And everything with detective Katsumoto was great where he was aware of actions of the killer and knew how to best approach and try and stop him but Magnum didn't really listen to that. And just the whole ending fight scene between Magnum and this FBI agent was really great with how they chose to end everything. Then just overall this was a really entertaining episode that wasn't all that eventful or exciting but it was still a fun watch.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 4 "Exorcise Your Demons" Review

The sisters begin to realize that juggling their two worlds is difficult as they await a meeting with the Elders.

This was a really great episode that had a very interesting story to it and just was so much fun to watch. I really enjoyed the whole storyline around the sisters trying to come up with a way to save Angela Wu and also get rid of the Harbinger inside of her. Just meeting the council of elders was also really great with meeting Charity and what all happened there was interesting to see with the council of elders deciding that the only way to fix this problem is to kill the Harbinger and Angela. The introduction of the secret pages that their mother left behind was an interesting part to come up with a spell to save Angela but it also felt really kind of weird and random that just felt like it made its way in there to end the episode. But then the whole actual exorcism scene and stuff were really great with the sisters doing all this different stuff to save Angela and just how it all turned out and worked was really well done. And then everything with Neko and her partner was interesting where they're looking into the disappearance of Angela and Nico's partner fully believes that the sisters have something to do with it so he starts stalking them and stuff was interesting to see. The only part that confuses me was his death because the fact that they never really showed what killed him they just showed him walking in on the exorcism and then all sudden once it was done he was dead so that was really confusing me as to what happened to him that killed him. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and fun episode that I really enjoyed watching.

New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 6 "Anthropocene" Review

The pressure is on as Max takes on his first annual fundraising gala at the hospital and emotions are high as some of the doctor's families join them for the event. Iggy struggles to break difficult news to his daughter and Bloom and Reynolds continue to deal with the fallout of their argument. Meanwhile, Kapoor and Dr. Sharpe work together to find out what is making a father and son duo so sick.

This was a really interesting episode that didn't have a lot to it, it was mostly about just a lot of small moments playing out simultaneously. Everything with Max was nice with how his work was somewhat of divided in this episode. When it came to the fundraiser it was weird how they chose to make Max's secret weapon a mystery when it was easily Georgia, it was nice to see how Georgia did her work to help Max though where she showed him off to donors by stating how instead of being there talking to people Max is out there being a doctor. Then everything with Max and Reynolds was some of the better parts of this episode where they are dealing with cases at the prison where prisoners are being drugged to be more compliant. And how Reynolds found all this out and got evidence together to hold the right people responsible was really great rather than seeing him get into fights he didn't need to which was his first actions. Then Bloom setting up Reynolds with someone new was an interesting way for her to get over him and know that he won't be coming back for a while. Then Iggy dealing with his family was some nice small moments in this episode where he had to explain to his daughter that there normally is not the same normal for others and how that all works and that was just really interesting to see. Then the bigger side story with Kapoor and Sharpe was a very entertaining story with this father and son having this mysterious illness that no test can figure out. Then the truth of what this illness was and why it was hard to find was really interesting where it was an older version of a common illness that the machines couldn't pick up because the machines were so up to date with the newer stains they forgot the older ones. Then just overall this was a really nice episode with a bunch of small interesting stories.

Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 6 "Death Is Only Temporary" Review

An aging tycoon asks Magnum to find his lost love, who supposedly died 30 years ago; Rick and TC meet an injured fellow vet who is having a hard time adjusting to civilian life.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that had so many fun moments and it was just really interesting to see how everything played out. Everything with the case was really interesting with how the tycoon got this message from a lost love and he hires Magnum to see whether this truly is the women or if it is just spam. Then how the actual people planned out to hide from the cameras and use just the right amount of information to prove themselves as this women was really great especially with how they stumbled upon this information on this women by finding her dead body. Then the actual murder of this women was interesting where she leaves but tried to get back in contact with the tycoon when she discovers she is pregnant but the friend of the tycoon drives her away because the tycoon just recently married the fiend's sister. And a course the murdered women and the friend get into a fight leading to an accident and she dies and the friend decided to cover it up and hide her body. Then how Higgins played into all this was nice with her being the support for the tycoon whenever his dementia started to act up. Then everything with Rick and TC was some really great moments where they were trying to befriend this other vet and the vet just wanted none of it and he thought no one would fully understand. And all the conversations between all of them was so interesting with them talking about how you never fully get over the trauma you just learn to work past it. Then what TC decided to do for the vet was a nice way to end their story where TC offered the vet a mechanic job similar to that the vet wanted before going to war. Then just overall this was a really great episode that had so many entertaining moments to it.
