Midnight Texas Season 2 Episode 6 "No More Mr. Nice Kai" Review

An unknown force threatens to reveal all the Midnighters' secrets; Manfred's suspicion towards Kai intensifies; Fiji embraces Dark Magic to save Bobo.
This was a really interesting and somewhat of a fun episode that had a really great concept to it and the way they chose to create so much chaos in the town was just really great. Everything with Fiji finally embracing her dark magic was so much fun with how much her personality changed and how cunning and clever she became. The return of Creek was great with her and Manfred trying to work out whether or not they should move on from one another. Looking into if Kai had anything to do with the secrets coming out and what he is doing with all these stored up supernatural powers made for some really great scenes. I especially loved the scene where Manfred and Joe confront the head in Kai's office. The love triangle coming out between Joe, Walker, and Chuy was so much fun to see Walker and Chuy going after one another and Joe working to try and keep Chuy calmed down. Then the truth coming out that all the chaos going on was because of a Trickster was such a great reveal and made for a really great moment when the whole town finally teamed up against him. Then just overall this was a really fun and great episode to watch and see how everything played out.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 8 "Bug a Boo" Review

While on the hunt for Jada, Harry and Charity learn a Changeling Demon is putting one of the sisters in danger.
This was a fun and okay episode that had some troubles because of the fact the three different sisters stories were so different it was a little to much plot for one episode. Everything with Mel in this episode was interesting with her joining the Sisters of Arcana to figure out what they're planning and what they took from Tartarus. The truth coming out about Jada and why she has the powers she does was an interesting concept with her being a mix of witch and whitelighter. Everything with Maggie was fun with her working to get an internship in Chicago and making Macy sign up for the dating app in order to get over her feeling for Galvin. The side story with Parker working to get the sister's blood was well done with him using his illness to his benefit. Macy going on a really bad date and getting kidnapped was a fun way to introduce the monster of the week and it being a bug monster that needs a home for its eggs was also fun to play on Harry's fear of bugs. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that was so exciting to watch and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 7 "Out of Scythe" Review

When Harry informs the sisters that Hilltowne is a portal to hell, they must band together to fight off a shadowy demon trying to obtain a collection of powerful magical artifacts.

This was a really interesting episode that had some good moments to it and some moments that were a little hard to follow. Everything around the gathering the pieces of the scythe and figuring out who is after it was great. Especially with all the other kind of mystical creatures that the sister encountered. Then everything with Maggie and Parker possibly starting a relationship now that they are free from possibly hurting Lucy is an interesting thing that I wonder what is going to happen going forward once more secrets are revealed. Mel working through what she wants to do with her life with time rewriting things was interesting with the new weird electric witch showing up to add a new love interest to her life. Macy being given the task of firing Galvin was great with Macy working to figure out which is more important her new job or her friendship with Galvin. The only problem I had with Macy's scenes how easily she managed to save Galvin and prove his important by basically saying that Galvin is a good friend to everyone. Then overall I'm curious to see what will happen next now that the scythe is all put together.

Midnight Texas Season 2 Episode 5 "Drown the Sadness In Chardonnay" Review

Lem makes a shocking decision; Olivia's past comes back to haunt her; Fiji seeks outside help from her fellow Light Witches; A suicide pits Manfred and Kai against one another.

This was a really confusing episode that was entertaining to watch and had some good moments to it. Everything with Lem in this episode was just odd with his decision to stop being a vampire so that he can have a family with Olivia and everything else that he wants. Then everything with Olivia in this episode was just weird with her finally confronting her father and finding out that he is still stuck living in the past to live where he felt happiest. How Olivia got stuck in her fathers trap and how Lem and others got her out of it was a little confusing, rushed, and felt like they were trying to wrap up everything they set up.

Fiji's parts in this episode were great with the truth coming out about her curse and why she is the way she is. That truth is that she is actually a dark witch and not a light one was a great reveal but a little confusing. Because why would that be a secret to her and if her own family didn't know how could they not. I feel the difference between a dark witch and light witch should be easily seen so it is known. Then it was also confusing how Fiji was all the sudden a master at dark magic once she realized she had it.

Then the moments with Manfred and Patients really felt like it should have been its own episode because it also felt a little rushed when trying to compete with the Olivia storyline. I did enjoy Manfred trying to figure out the mystery of why this girl killed her self and figuring out that she was actually murdered by her friend. And how all these things lead back to the idea of no one can escape from Kai was great with how it is becoming known that Manfred and Patients are in a relationship. Then just overall this was a really entertaining episode that was a little hard to follow but it had a nice couple of storyline to it.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 6 "Kappa Spirit" Review

As Maggie attempts to make amends with Lucy, she asks for Mel's help to figure out who the new Kappa member is.

This was a really entertaining episode that was so much fun to watch how everything turned out. Everything with Maggie was the main part of this episode and it was so entertaining but also a little confusing. I enjoyed this vengeful spirit working with Lucy and driving a bigger wedge between Maggie and Lucy. The confusing part came when Maggie was trying to identify which type of ghost this spirit is and she needed this book and all this help the first time around but then later she just switched her mind to a whole different section of ghost and had all this information on how to stop them without any help. Then Mel and Maggie going back in time and encountering there mother when she was pregnant with Macy made a good push forward in the storyline around the mystery of Macy. Then Macy looking more into the mark on Galvin and getting Harry's help on it was fun to see Harry interacting with Macy's friends and trying to figure out what is going on with Galvin. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that was so interesting to watch.

Midnight Texas Season 2 Episode 4 "I Put a Spell on You" Review

The Midnighters join forces to protect a weretiger; Fiji takes extreme measures to save Bobo; Patience and Manfred bond over relationship troubles.

This was an okay episode that had some good moments to it but it did get a little long and confusing at points. The whole story with the baby weretiger and Olivia working to take care of it and truly understanding what it's like to have a normal family did make for an interesting storyline for this episode. But everything else around this baby weretiger was really confusing where the mother to this weretiger was looking for the Rev but it was never explained how she knew the Rev or why he was the one she went to for help. Then the whole weretiger family tree between the mother, grandmother, and father of this baby weretiger made no sense to me because they had it as the father being weretiger but never really explaining what the mother or grandmother was besides being the owners of this fighting ring of supernatural creatures. So then the confusing part to me is, did the mother go against the grandmother's wishes and have a child with this weretiger that she was imprisoning or did the grandmother pushed the mother to have a child with the weretiger. Then everything with Fiji was interesting with her wiping his memory of everything that happened between the two of them but things not working out because the fact of their love and attraction being too strong that no magic can stop it so the ending of her turning him into a dog was interesting to see. Then everything with Manfred and Patience was okay but a little confusing and felt a bit like it was adding more drama than what was necessary. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that had a good storyline to it, it just felt like they were missing pieces to the story.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 5 "Other Women" Review

Maggie struggles with whether to tell Lucy the truth; Mel and Harry try to protect Niko; Macy is upset about her situation with Galvin.

This was a really great episode that had some really fun moments to it and it was just a really enjoyable watch. Everything with Maggie was really great with her having to help the friend she is actually hurting. And the whole reveal by the end of the episode was interesting with how Lucy took everything and it will be interesting to see how Maggie might repair there relationship. Then the moments with Macy were also interesting with this mark showing up on Galvin and this mysterious other woman showing up that really has some hypnotic control over Galvin. The whole scene where Macy and Maggie are working to decide if Galvin's new girlfriend is a succubus was really fun with how it all played out. Mel had some great moments with her trying to save Niko from this demon trying to kill Niko as she investigates the death of her partner. Then the decision to rewrite history and make it so that Mel and Niko never met was an interesting way to protect Niko. I'm very curious to see what other consequences might come out of this change to history and what happen with fate doing something that might bring them back together. Then just overall this was a really fun episode that had some entertaining moments.

Midnight Texas Season 2 Episode 3 "To Witch Hell and Back" Review

Manfred helps Fiji discover what’s trying to kill Bobo; Rev struggles with his past; Joe embraces his new ‘night job’.

This was a really interesting episode that had some good moments to it as well as some kind of confusing moments to it. Everything with the Rev was interesting with him going to Kai to get his Weretiger removed and learning how to move on. I was really saddened by this part in the episode because we finally got a bit of the Rev’s backstory just to have him leave, and I hate how many of the characters are leaving. Then the moments with Joe were great with him demon fighting again but it was also disappointing with him cheating on Chuy and I really hope that something doesn’t happen to Chuy once Joe’s new “friend” figures out what Chuy is. Fiji looking into what was happening to her and Bobo did lead to some great moments but it was also a little confusing because I thought that Fiji already knew about the curse on her family. However, it was really fun to see Manfred go to witch hell t help Fiji and everything he had to do to not get permanently stuck there was really great. Then just overall this was a really fun episode to watch and see how everything turned out.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 4 "Exorcise Your Demons" Review

The sisters begin to realize that juggling their two worlds is difficult as they await a meeting with the Elders.

This was a really great episode that had a very interesting story to it and just was so much fun to watch. I really enjoyed the whole storyline around the sisters trying to come up with a way to save Angela Wu and also get rid of the Harbinger inside of her. Just meeting the council of elders was also really great with meeting Charity and what all happened there was interesting to see with the council of elders deciding that the only way to fix this problem is to kill the Harbinger and Angela. The introduction of the secret pages that their mother left behind was an interesting part to come up with a spell to save Angela but it also felt really kind of weird and random that just felt like it made its way in there to end the episode. But then the whole actual exorcism scene and stuff were really great with the sisters doing all this different stuff to save Angela and just how it all turned out and worked was really well done. And then everything with Neko and her partner was interesting where they're looking into the disappearance of Angela and Nico's partner fully believes that the sisters have something to do with it so he starts stalking them and stuff was interesting to see. The only part that confuses me was his death because the fact that they never really showed what killed him they just showed him walking in on the exorcism and then all sudden once it was done he was dead so that was really confusing me as to what happened to him that killed him. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and fun episode that I really enjoyed watching.

Midnight Texas Season 2 Episode 2 "The Monster of the Week Is Patriarchy" Review

Manfred investigates a gruesome murder in the hotel; Lem and Olivia's psychic connection drives a wedge between them; Bobo's life is put in danger.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that continued to do a good job of getting into the motions of what makes Midnight. Everything with Manfred and the hotel was interesting with him working to figure out what these murderous ghosts want and what he can do to free them. I really loved the moment where Manfred has both of the ghosts inside him explaining their sides of the story of what lead to there deaths and why are they angry. Then everything with Lem and Olivia was interesting with this eager girl wanting to become a vampire and finding a way to make that happen by tricking Lem. Then just the whole hunt down moment with Lem and Olivia was great with how it was all shown and done with Lem having to use the little information he gathered to find where the girl might go next. Then the discovery that Kai can remove supernatural forces from people makes me really curious to see who might choose to be human again and who might fight against Kai because of what he can do. Then the moments with Fiji and Bobo were okay with them slowly discovering that something is going on but it kind of felt unimportant for the grander scheme of what is going on. Then just overall this was a really fun episode and I'm curious to see what will happen next.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 3 "Sweet Tooth" Review

The sisters are put through witch lessons, but when Macy learns of a mysterious death in her lab, she informs her sisters and together they devise a plan to suss out the demon.

This was a really interesting episode that defiantly had some nice moments to it. Everything around the Harbinger was interesting with the girls discovering that it has a weird reaction to sweets so they decide to try and find it by handing out a lot of really sugary treats. Then the whole conversation between Mel and Angela was interesting with what it revealed about there relationship. Then everything on Halloween night involving the Harbinger was really fun because it stopped trying to hide and everyone just believed it was a really great costume which was so much fun. Everything with Maggie was fun with her deciding to throw her sororities Halloween party at her place and she decided to use magic to make things look perfect. It was really fun to then see the side effect of Maggie using all this magic when bad things started to happen to counteract all the good. Then everything with Macy was interesting with her revealing the some of her backstory and why she has a hard time making friends with others. The only major part that bugged me in this episode was how Mel chose to stop the Harbinger by using this really powerful spell that almost killed both of her sisters, to me that was such a dumb and horrible move I just don't see why she would ever think it was a good idea. Then just overall this was a really entertaining episode that had some really nice moments to it.

Midnight Texas Season 2 Episode 1 "Head Games" Review

A new hotel rocks the Midnighters stability; Manfred deals with the consequences of 'taking-in' six demons.

This was a really great and interesting first episode that had so many great moments and it did a nice job of setting up some events to come. Everything around the new hotel was really interesting with the Midnighters not being sure what to think about the new owners especially when it is revealed that one of the owners Kai has the ability to heal people. Then the whole relationship problems in this episode was a little weird and boring where Olivia and Lamb are dealing with there phycological connection getting in the way of them being there own person and Bobo and Fiji dealing with what to do in their blossoming relationship. Then everything with Manfred in this episode was some of the best moments where he is dealing with these weird blackout sleepwalking moments where it appears like he is planning on killing his friends. The return of Manfred's grandmother was also a nice touch in this episode to have someone on his side helping him out and the eventual truth that she was just a hallucination due to the sickness affecting him was so great. But I do wish that his grandmother would come back somehow because she was really great last season with her commentary that helped out Manfred ever now and again. And the actual thing affecting Manfred was interesting where he had this weird almost darkness cancer that was growing in him as an after effect of taking in all those demons and the cancer is spreading quickly and will soon kill him. Then how that rest of the Midnighters actually figured out what was going on with Manfred and how they managed to find a way to help him was all really well done in how it was shown. Then I'm really curious to see what will happen now that Creek has left because for the most part she was the only real human in the town and that was really entertaining to me. And just overall this was a really great first episode and I'm really excited to see what will happen next.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 2 "Let This Mother Out" Review

After getting a message from the spirit board to not trust Harry, the sisters are conflicted and ultimately concoct a plan.

This was a really interesting episode that was really entertaining to see how everything played out. It was kind of annoying to see how the sisters continued to refuse to work together and decide to create a majority rules style of doing things but them none of them choose to follow the majority when they were the odd one out. It was fun to see them create a truth serum to try and figure out more information on Harry and see what he has planned. Then I also enjoyed how the girls were afraid to say Harry's name because every time they did he would pop up so all the silly little nicknames they used for him instead was fun. And it was interesting how they chose to show the truth serum where it accidentally got in the hands of Mel's girlfriend instead of Harry and all the secrets that Mel found out from her girlfriend and I found it interesting how Mel was willing to set aside the information she learned because it was information that she wasn't supposed to know. Then everything else in this episode with Mel was kind of annoying with her refusing to listen to her sister and deciding to contact the possible spirit of her mother and then she was just really annoying with how she bossed the rest of her sisters around and refused to listen to them and made pretty much all the mistakes in this episode. Then everything with Macy was interesting with her being the one to notice the new threat coming for them and all her interactions with Harry were interesting. Then Maggie in this episode was great by the end of this episode where her powers did come in handy to help defer between her mother and the monster even though her sister refused to listen to her. Then the prism that was introduced in this episode seems like it will be a big problem in the future because why aren't the monsters going after this prism to steal the girl's powers instead of going after the girls and failing because the girls are more powerful than the monster. Then just overall this was a really interesting episode and it was really entertaining to watch.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 1 "Pilot" Review

After the tragic death of their mother, Mel and Maggie learn they have an older sister, Macy, and discover they all exhibit impossible new abilities.

This was a really great first episode that did a nice job of setting everything up for the series and showing how everything works.

For me, there are some challenges watching this series because I enjoyed the original series so much and I have such a hard time not comparing the two series. Which is something that shouldn't be done because from what this episode showed the two series will be very different, but still there are some things I liked better in this original series and something I liked better in this series.

One thing I liked better in the original series was what the youngest sisters main power were where in the original series the youngest sister had the power to see the future wherein this new series she has the power to read people's minds. And I feel seeing the future would be a way more helpful power in fighting supernatural creatures, but maybe the episodes to come will help to show how Maggie being able to read others minds will be helpful to there fight.

But then something I loved in this series over the original is how the girls didn't know each other very well at the start so there is a bit more of a story around them trying to work together. and how each of the girls is working to live there own lives separate from each other but they are also still really close together. Then I loved how much Macy is using science to help understand her magic, I just think that is a cool line to navigate between magic and science and her using science to better understand the magical spells.

Harry is a really cool new character that I enjoy having around to help the girls grow there magical were as in the original series the girls were kind of given a book and told to figure out everything themselves. I am very curious to see if Harry truly is a good guy wanting to work and help the girls or if he is a lurking villain to be reviled by the end of the season.

I'm a little disappointed in how simple the plot of this episode seemed to be where you could easily tell who was bad and who was good right from there introduction. But I am willing to forgive that a bit because this is a pilot episode so it is more about introducing the characters and showing off the girls skills more then it is about an actual story. So as long as the other episodes to the villains a bit better I'm willing to forget this episode.

Then just overall this was a really great episode that had a bunch of interesting moments to it and I'm really excited to see where the story will go from here.

The Librarians Season 4 Episode 12 "And the Echoes of Memory" Review

After the world is morphed into a horrible and unrecognizable place - one where the Library never existed - it’s up to Baird to bring the Librarians together before this bleak, knowledge-less world becomes the new reality.

This was a really good episode and it was fun to watch but it didn’t make the greatest of season finales and the ending just left me really angry. It was interesting to see how they decided to perceive a world where the Library never existed and they made everything really dull and boring because of it. I really liked the storyline around Baird having to go and find all the Librarians and try and prove to them that the memories they all have about the Library are true and they need to work together to bring it back. Everything with Flynn was interesting with it coming out that Flynn didn’t actually leave the Library he was kidnapped by Nicole and kept hidden away all this time. The thing that really annoyed me is how this episode ended with everything being fixed and going back to the first episode before the problems involving the cornerstones. So basically setting it up so that nothing in this season mattered or even happened which makes me really angry because there were so many good moments and great character growth that now didn’t happen and I don’t understand why they had to do that. But still, overall this was a really nice ending that had some great moments to it and I’m sad this series didn’t get picked up for another season.

The Librarians Season 4 Episode 11 "And the Trial of the One" Review

As tensions between the Librarians escalate over which of them is the most deserving to participate in the tethering ceremony with Baird, the Library steps in and turns each of the Librarians into their most primal selves, and are sent to survive a terrifying alternate reality to determine who is the most worthy.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that in my opinion with a few changes it could have made a great season finale. I really liked the idea of this group of trials that are created to pick the best Librarian, but I wished they would have been explained a bit more because some parts kind of seemed really weird. Like the fact that it was explained at the beginning of the trials that it is just about the Librarians and Baird can't get involved but all she ended up doing was getting involved. Then the beginning part of the trials was great with each of the Librarians forced to live through there greatest fears with Casandra's being forced to relive a time she was bullied, Jakup's was his fear of magic playing out, and Ezekiel's was finally being caught and sent to prison. Mixed in with these fears they had the other Librarians playing a role in there torture so they learned to hate each other which was a really clever idea to get them willing to fight each other to the death. Then Baird part in all this was weird like I said where at first it seemed like she was separated off to watch everything that was happening to the Librarians but then there was a turn where it turned out she was a part of the trial as well. The ending was interesting with the Librarians refusing to fight each other which cost Jenkins his life and I was really surprised they were willing to take things that far as to kill him off. Then the ending of the whole episode was interesting with the return of Nicole and her using her knowledge to destroy the Libray and turn the world into an alternate reality where the Library never existed. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode that had some great moments to it.

The Librarians Season 4 Episode 10 "And Some Dude Named Jeff" Review

When Jenkins body-switches with a 28-year-old slacker named Jeff, he must find his way back into the Library to correct the mistake. But he will need a team to do it, and enlists the help of Jeff's hapless Dungeons and Dragons friends. Can they make it in time, before Jeff destroys the Library?

This was a really interesting and great episode that had so many fun and funny moments do it. I really enjoyed that this episode did focus on Jenkins and him somewhat of discovering what it's like to be mortal. Everything around that was really fun with him unwillingly taking over the life of Jeff and having to deal with the mundane parts of life. Each of Jeff's friends was really fun with how they played into the grander scheme of getting back into the library. With that, the whole backdoor Quest that they all had to go through to get Jenkins back in the library and back into his own body was really fun with all the different dynamics of it. Then everything around the Jeff inside of Jenkins body was interesting with how the librarians slowly managed to figure out that it's not actually Jenkins. I do wish they would have spent a bit more time on the librarians and Jeff but still, it was fun to see everything around that. Then everything around them saving the library from this monster that Jeff brought in and eventually switching the bodies back between Jeff and Jenkins was interesting but again I wish they would have spent a bit more time on the ending it just felt like a really rushed ending. And then just overall this was a really fun and great episode to watch.

The Librarians Season 4 Episode 9 "And a Town Called Feud" Review

When a Civil War reenactment in a town called Feud is plagued by ghosts, the Librarians have to uncover the truth of what really happened there over 100 years ago.

This was a really entertaining and fun episode that had some really great moments to it. I did really like the whole mystery around what was the artifact and the idea around people changing history to fit a narrative. And that was so great to see the Librarians slowly figure out that everything they were being told about the town and the Feud brothers was not actually true and that the lady in charge of the museum made it up to attract more people to the town. And it was interesting how each of the ghosts that the Librarian saw played into them figuring out what was going on with them either seeing the Feud brothers or their other family members. Then I really love the ending with the two brothers taking over the bodies of Jacob and Ezekiel and reenacting the last battle with several of the other members of the Town also being possessed. And through that reenactment, it's finally showed everyone what actually happened on the battlefield and that was just really great to sort of also get rid of the tension growing between Ezekiel and Jakob on who should be the Librarian. Then just overall this was a really entertaining and great episode that had a lot of really great moments to it in a really nice storyline.

The Librarians Season 4 Episode 8 "And the Hidden Sanctuary" Review

After Cassandra freezes up during a mission, she decides it's past time to go on a vacation. Searching for her ideal town, she lands on Havenport, the "Safest Town in America." At first blush, it seems just what she needed, but is there always a price to pay for unrealistic peace of mind?

This was a really great and entertaining episode that was probably my favorite episode of the season. I really loved that this whole episode revolved just around Cassandra and she had to figure out how to solve that problem all on her own. It was also really interesting how very few people in the town seemed to notice the odd luck of the town except for Cassandra and the friend she made in the town. It was fun to see town quickly the town went crazy once bad things did start happening. Then I really liked seeing Cassandra as an actual librarian in the town and the passion she had for the job and how she just connected with the one kid because of it. The scene where the whole town is holding a meeting and Cassandra brings up the question of what has changed recently to cause the bad luck was great because the one major thing that changed was her showing up. Then I wished they would have set up the fairy a bit more because the opening scene in the episode felt really kind of random and then they took forever to introduce the fairy as the bad guy but by then things were at apocalypse levels. It was interesting how the town managed to work together to trap the fairy and find a way to help it so it would stop harming them. Then just overall this was a really great and fun episode that I really loved.

The Librarians Season 4 Episode 7 "And the Disenchanted Forest" Review

When dissension threatens the group, Baird takes the Librarians to a charismatic self-help guru's team building camp on the edge of a forest where people have been mysteriously disappearing. Is there a monster in the woods? Or is something more sinister going on? And can the Librarians get their team mojo back in time to defeat it?

This was a really entertaining and great episode that was so much fun to watch all the twists and turns leading to the discovery of what is actually going on at the camp. I really liked the small bit of camp competition between The Librarians and DOSA and them fighting against each other but when things start getting really freaky they find a way to work together. The moments with Cassandra were fun with her doing all the different things that are usually apart of camp movies and Ezekiel having to deal with a brunt of her tricks. Then the moments with Stone were interesting with him finding a girl that really interests him and discovering the truth about her and her small ties back to the Library. Then the whole camp counselor was interesting with how they decided to have him operate where he knows that people are disappearing but he doesn't know how and he is trying his best not to look into it. Then the truth about the forest they were in was interesting with it being the first forest but the whole DOSA side of things felt a little weird because they seemed to change their minds really quickly from wanting to destroy the forest to wanting to set up all these protections actions to keep the forest stable and intact. And just overall this was a really fun and interesting episode to watch and see how everything turned out.
