Elseworlds Review

Destiny is rewritten and Oliver becomes Barry Allen and he is now the fastest man alive and Barry Allen becomes Oliver and he is now the vigilante of Star city also called The Green Arrow.
This was a really entertaining and great episodes that did a good job of setting up for future crossover episodes as well as having a very fun and entertaining it story in itself. A lot of my complaints with the series of crossover episodes are weird because they're the exact opposite of my complaints about the Crisis on Earth X crossover because in Crisis on Earth X it had a problem that it was so slow and trying to fit everything into four episodes just it felt like they run out of storylines causing was so much filler. Whereas for Elseworlds crossover it felt so rushed and like it was really hard to keep up with everything that was going on with all their plans and stuff.
That being said everything with Barry and Oliver was really fun with them having to live each other's lives and have each other's powers and had to figure out how to make everything work was fun especially with Barry trying to be the weapon that Oliver has built himself to be and then Oliver trying to use Barry's Flash's power was so funny. Then giving Superman a bigger role and have him play a part in this series of crossover episodes was fun to see how he's been doing and what his plans are for the future with Lois and then him leaving Supergirl behind to defend Earth herself. The introduction of Batwoman was also really great where she is not a huge fan of Oliver and sort of giving off the presence of her wanting to protect our city and not really wanting Oliver and Barry they're causing distractions. With that I'm not a huge fan of Batwoman and I never really have been but I feel like Ruby did a really good job of portraying Batwoman and I'm very interested to see where that storyline might go in the future even though I might not watch her series.
Then everything with The Monitor and him having this idea of setting up the potential of the Crisis of the Multiverse and him trying to find the true heroes and the true Earth that will reign dominant was an interesting thing. And how everyone work together to defeat him was great where they had this idea of The Flash and Supergirl having to run and fly in opposite directions to slow down the Earth's rotation so that they could defeat him before he had the potential to change the story again wasn't an interesting tactic even though Oliver had to step in and change things to be able to save Barry and Kara's lives.
Which that leads to my idea that there is substantial chance that Oliver is going to die in the next crossover because he had to make some sort of deal with The Monitor in order to save Supergirl and The Flash and I feel like Oliver willingly gave up his own life to do so, but that's all saved for the Crisis of the Multiverse. I'm so excited to see what they're going to do for the Crisis of the Multiverse event because it is such a big storyline and I'm curious to see what they're going to do with it once everything ends because in the comic the ending led to several heroes deaths so I'm curious to see who might be killed off or if they're going to kill anyone off. Because in the comics  Supergirl died, so would they replace her with Oliver or potentially Superman which I think would be cool to see. And then the potential for Superboy to come in to fill his father's spot. Then also several other characters that have sort of become mainstays also died in the comics like with Lena Luthor so I'm curious to know if they'll kill her off and have her brother Lex become the new main bad or if they're going to trade places there and have Lex die instead. But anyways I'm so excited to see what they're going to do with the Crisis of the Multiverse crossover and overall this was a really fun series of episodes and I'm so excited to see what they're going to do next.

Arrowverse Crossover Day Two "Crisis on Earth-X, Parts 3&4" Review

The gang comes together for Barry and Iris's wedding, but the ceremony is crashed by villains from Earth-X.

This was a really great second half that did a good job of having the mains story part in the third part and then just wrapping everything up in the fourth part. All the moments on Earth X we're really well done with how they took the ideas of each of the characters and introduced some new ones and just working through a whole plan of how to escape back to Earth One. I really enjoyed their introduction of The Ray and how they played him into everything and just how well he sort of fit in with the rest of the group. Then the reintroduction of this new version of Captain Cold as Citizen Cold was interesting where he's from Earth X and doesn't know any of the other people. Then everything that went on with Kara and everyone stuck in Star Labs that didn't get stuck on Earth X was interesting with how they eventually managed to free Kara from the red light altering her powers and how they finally brought the rest of Legends into the fight. And it was fun that they did again have a little nod to Ray's Superman past. It was really interesting who out of villains in the character's past they decided to bring into this with them reintroducing Metallo, and Red Tornado, as well as a few other villains, was interesting to see how they fit them all in and how they actually had other heroes fighting against these villains instead of Supergirl. Then just the whole final fight scene between the heroes and the Earth X versions was interesting to see how it all played out. It was a little disappointed that it definitely looks like they ran out of money because the visual effects didn't look as good as they did in the previous parts. But still, all the fighting and how they decide to end the story for each of the Earth X members was very interesting to see. The ending of the fourth part I really don't care for and it felt really kind of unnecessary and could have been so much better if they just cut it out or shortened it. Because I did like that moment of Barry and Iris finally going through the whole ceremony of getting married even though it wasn't necessary but then having Felicity barge in there and make it about her by saying that she wants to marry Oliver as well was just really annoying and unnecessary with how it looks like in the next Arrow episode they're just going to get married again. So that ending just felt really weird and unnecessary and I felt like I could have ended a lot better if they would have just ignored that part all the other. And just overall this was a really exciting and fun second half to the crossover and I can't wait to see what they might do next year.

Arrowverse Crossover Day One "Crisis on Earth-X, Parts 1&2" Review

The gang comes together for Barry and Iris's wedding, but the ceremony is crashed by villains from Earth-X.

This was a really great first half that did a nice job of setting things up for whats to come and really bringing everyone together. I really loved how they did the beginning of this episode where they did an introduction of each of the main heroes revolving around them forgetting to turn in there save the date cards for Barry and Iris's wedding. It was especially fun with Supergirl fighting a dominator and making the comment that they were so last year. Then the party before the wedding and the actual wedding was really great with how everything was done and the little nods to characters to come. It was really interesting how they decided to have the heroes meet there evil Earth-X versions of themselves, I didn't much care for the storyline of having Kara and Oliver being married but I did really like the moment of them showcasing the kryptonite arrow. I wish a few more of the Legends would have been around because it felt like a really odd group of Legends members hanging out helping and the rest of them were just missing. Especially Ray I feel could have fit in with everyone else because he is friends with most of the main heroes. Then the reason of why the Earth-Xers were on Earth-1 was kind of weird because they were there for Kara but how did they know she was on Earth-1 and why didn't they go to Earth-23 to look for her. And they didn't really give a reason as to why Overgirl had taken into much solar radiation they just said that she had taken into much and it was killing her. So did Overgirl absorbed the whole sun or something and that explains why Earth-X is so dark or what is going on it was never really explained. But still this was a really great first half to set everything up and I excited to see what they are going to do now the part of the team is trapped on Earth-X.

Arrow Season 6 Episode 3 "Next of Kin" Review

A rogue black ops team led by Onyx breaks into Kord Industries and steals something lethal. Oliver struggles to connect with William so he reaches out to a surprising source for help.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that was fun at showing how team Arrow operates without Oliver. And I really liked what they did do with John adjusting to his life now as the Green Arrow and him figuring out what that means, and I really liked it because the fact that they dedicated this whole episode to him really figuring out what he needs to do with the Green Arrow instead of just having him jump into the role. And it was really fun to see him trying to get the team to get used to him as the new leader and them not being really sure that he deserves it and so it was a lot of him proving himself and with that I really love this whole fight scene where he's fighting around and inside of this limo and the way that the whole scene was shot was just really well done. And then the moments with Oliver and William in this episode interesting with Oliver trying to figure out how to talk to William and be there for him but he just keeps failing. So it was kind of cool how they finally did establish the triangle between Oliver, William, and Felicity with Felicity being there too help William in the way Oliver can't. The whole ending scene for this episode was really interesting and I'm very curious to see what might come out of that with John using drugs to help stabilize his hand and get him focused. I'm very curious to see how that might affect the team when they discover what he's up to and if it's going to make any sort of connection back to the main story in an episode where like they're tracking down the drug dealer that he uses or something like that reveals to the whole team what he's up to. And just overall this was a really entertaining and fun episode to watch and see this new hero strategy that they're going with.

Arrow Season 6 Episode 2 "Tribute" Review

Anatoly returns to Star City with a sinister agenda as Oliver tries to balance being the mayor, the Green Arrow and William's father.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that did a really nice job of having a bunch of really solid storylines going on all at once. I really liked all the moments with Oliver struggling to try and keep his other identity a secret from the public now that everyone's on high alert trying to prove whether he is the Green Arrow or not. And it was really interesting that they brought this FBI agent in to look into the case of Oliver Queen and that seems like a really interesting side storyline to keep going back to so I'm excited about that. And I really liked all the moments with Felicity and Curtis looking into the photo that seemed to prove Oliver as being the Green Arrow and them trying to find some way of how this picture got taken or what's all going on with it. Then the moments with Oliver trying to step up and become a father was really interesting with him trying to find a way to be what William need him to be and with how this episode ended I find it really interesting the choice he decided to make but I don't think it's going to last that long because Oliver will always be the Green Arrow. Then moments between Dinah and Diggle we're really interesting with the truth coming out more about what is wrong with Diggle and why he isn't firing his gun and the fact that they chose to keep it a secret up until the very end where they tried to tell the truth but just didn't get the chance to was really interesting and I'm curious to see what's going to happen when the truth does come out. Then all the moments with Anatoly we're really interesting with him using his and Oliver's old friendship as a weapon against Oliver as well as the fact of Oliver being under the public eye to his advantage to get Oliver to do whatever he wanted. But then the reveal at the end that Anatoly wasn't the one who put out the photo of Oliver makes me very interested to see who actually did. Then just overall this was a really interesting and great episode that I'm very curious to see where they're going to take the storyline.

Arrow Season 6 Episode 1 "Fallout" Review

Oliver deals with the fallout of the explosion on the island.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that I'm a little disappointed in how they chose to handle everything around the explosion on the island. Because they made such a big deal about it saying it is a big mystery about who would live and who would die just to then go and have literally everyone survive except of Ben’s mother which yes, of course, she would die because she was really only there to end up dead. But then the thing with Thea was really annoying because I’m pretty sure I stated in my review of the season finale that to kill off Thea would be incredibly stupid after the whole scene where Malcolm sacrificed himself to save Thea and yes she didn't die but essentially compared to everyone else she got hurt the worst. And then Slade going and leaving everybody else behind on the island to protect himself seemed like a complete change in character from how he has grown. And they made such a big deal about needing to get the team to this one dock to be safe and instead most of them just went and hid inside the plane they were right next to. But besides all that disappointing buildup that really lead nowhere, in my opinion, the rest of the episode was really great. With the moments of Black Siren and the team trying to figure out what her plans are and trying to stop them. I didn't much care for the whole thing around Lance feeling bad for shooting Black Siren and him making all these points continuously saying that it is Laurel which I just can't agree with because yes it is a Laurel but this Laurel grew up with a kind of different life so she isn't there Laurel. But I can understand a bit the feeling of guilt he has for shooting her because she does at least look like there Laurel so I can understand a bit of that tug of the heart he feels for shooting her. Then I'm very interested in knowing what is going on with Diggle because in this episode his aim was off and it really kind of seemed like he didn't know if he wanted to be Spartan anymore so I really want to know more about that. And then just overall this was a really great and exciting first episode and I'm very curious to see where they will go from here.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 23 "Lian Yu" Review

Oliver assembles a group of unlikely allies - Slade, Nyssa, Merlyn, and Digger Harkness - to engage in an epic battle against Chase and his army.

This was a really entertaining episode that was a really great season finale episode that is a nice job of wrapping everything up from this season as will as introduce some new problems for the next season. I really enjoyed the team up of all these kind of random people from Oliver's life helping him out to save his family and friends. The only one that was kind of a problem and a little confusing was Digger Harkness because he kind of came out of nowhere and all the sudden switched to working with Adrian to then just kind of disappearing partway through this episode, so it really kind of felt like they wanted him in this episode but didn't know what to do with him. It was really interesting how they chose to split up team arrow into a few different spots and it was interesting to watch how Oliver progressed from point A, to point B, to point C. Then the small storyline between Thea and Merlyn in this episode was kind of interesting with Thea finally settling on that fact that she does have some connection to Merlyn with how much he has helped her grow as a character and now with the idea that he might be gone she is feeling a little heartbroken about it, even though I don't think he is really dead because they can't just kill off a character like him. Then I really loved how they had these little personal battles with the two people you would like to see face each other do so it was Oliver vs Adrian, Thalia vs Nyssa, and Black Canary vs Black Siren. And it was really great to see how each of those little fights turned out and I loved when Quinten actually referred to Dinah as the Black Canary. Then Adrian's whole plan of how he thought everything was going to work out was really kind of far fetched that again brought up one of the questions I asked in the last review which was how many times did Arien sneak off to Lian Yu because to fill out everything they way it was he had to have made several trips and how did no one notice that. But it was interesting with how Adrian stuck to his plan of trying to prove Oliver is a killer and will always be a killer and when Oliver didn't agree with that plan Adrian had to and push him a little further by bringing up the fact that he killed Oliver's son. And with that, I loved how SladeAnd the rest of the team reacted to the idea that Oliver son might be dead but Oliver refused to believe that. Adrian's secret other plan was interesting with him laying bombs all through Lian Yu and Adrian making himself the detonator so if he dies Lian Yu explodes. Which seemed a little weird how he made himself the detonator instead of having a button because how would that ever really happen. The whole final scene between Oliver and Adrian was really great with Oliver making the decision of saving Willam or all of his friends. I am a little angry that when it came down to is Adrian is still dead even though Oliver wasn't the one who killed him. And with how this episode ended I'm curious and excited to see what will happen next season. And I do think that everyone on the island is still alive after it exploded because I think Oliver gave Slade some kind of code word when Oliver told Felicity to tell Slade to take them to an ARGUS dock I feel like that was some kind of code word that made Slade bring them to some kind of safe bunker and their all okay. And just overall this was a really great season finale episode And I'm so excited to see what they are going to do next season.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 22 "Missing" Review

Black Siren returns to give Chase help; Felicity plans a birthday party for Oliver; Lance is angry with Rene for missing the custody hearing about his daughter.

This was a really interesting episode that was so entertaining to watch and had a lot of really great moments to watch. It was really interesting to see how each of the members of team arrow was eventually picked up by Chase's team. I really didn't care for the fact that they made Lance forget about Black Siren because did the writers forget that earlier in this season they had a whole episode dedicated to Black Siren pretending to be Loral and crushing Lance's heart, even more, they made it seem like he had no idea of her existence when that is just not true, if they instead wrote it as him not being aware that Black Siren broke out of prison so he is a bit hesitant to shoot someone who looks like Loral I would be a bit more forgiving but they went and made him completely dumb. It was interesting how they brought Malcolm back to help Oliver get his friends back and I can't wait to see what a team up between Oliver, Malcolm, and Nyssa might bring. The ending of this episode where they decided to bring everyone back to the island Oliver was stuck on was an okay idea but it was really only thrown in there so Oliver could go and get Deathstroke. I didn't much care for the idea that they decided to not show Rene or Dinah at all in this episode because the least they could have done was so them with the rest of the team when they first showed up on the island but now I have to guess that they are trapped somewhere else on the island. And just overall this was an okay episode for its purpose which is to next up the next episode but is wasn't the greatest of on its own.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 21 "Honor Thy Fathers" Review

Oliver faces the forced release of criminals prosecuted by Adrian Chase, while a crate is delivered to Oliver's office containing a corpse in concrete.

This was a really interesting episode that was entertaining to watch was still not one of the best episodes out there. I did really like Thea being back and what they decided to do with a story line for both her and Oliver for this episode with them discovering some more of the secrets there father hid from them. And I liked the moments where we get to see what their father truly thought of Oliver and Thea and what he kind of had planned for the two of them. Then I found it interesting with what they did with Rene in this episode and how he was really hesitant to go through with this court case to get his daughter back because he didn't want to have to talk about all the terrible things in his daughter's life before she was taken away. And he is struggling with the idea of whether having his daughter back would be the best thing for her or if she is better off staying with her foster family. Then the actual case down of some of these criminals prosecuted by Chase was cool with them working for Chase to recreate the plans of sickness that Chase's father tried to do but on a bigger scale. Then the actual final fight scene between Oliver and Chase was interesting but I didn't much care for it because Adrian just sort of backed down because he discovered his father didn't actually care for him. And that just seemed like such a terrible idea that Adrian either has to have something planned out for the inside of his cell or it was just some really bad writing. But I did like that Oliver didn't just kill Adrian he did bring Adrian to justice somewhat. And I did like when the truth came out about what Oliver's father did Oliver didn't try and hide it he spoke out to the public about what happened and I liked that because it really shows growth of his character. And just overall this was a really great episode that was really entertaining to watch.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 20 "Underneath" Review

Oliver and Felicity get trapped in the bunker together, while Diggle and Lyla deal with marital issues.

This was a really boring episode that was kind of interesting but just really unnecessary. I would understand this episode if all of this was only part of an episode and then Oliver and Felicity got out and something else happened that took up a majority of the show, but the fact that the whole episode was just dedicated to Oliver and Felicity being stuck was so boring. All the flashback moments were not all that great either where they seemed to be having the same fight as they currently were in the present about Oliver not trusting Felicity but in the flashbacks the made up and shared that they still had feelings for one another. I did like the moments with Curtis and Rene trying to get into the bunker to save Oliver and Felicity and their constant bickering between each other lead to some comments by the rest of the team about how they are going to end up getting married. Then the moments between Diggle and Lyla were great with how they recovered from all the anger that was built up in the last episode by having them come to terms with the fact that their lives aren't normal and one of them might have to do something the other doesn't care for. And just overall this was a really interesting episode but it was also a really bad episode.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 19 "Dangerous Liaisons" Review

Oliver, Team Arrow, ARGUS and the SCPD kick off a citywide manhunt for Adrian Chase. Helix tells Felicity they have a way to find Chase but they will need something big, and illegal, from her in return.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that was so interesting to watch everything play out. I really didn't care much for the fact of most of this episode revolved around Felicity and I'm defiantly in the boat that this show really is becoming the Felicity show and not about the Green Arrow as much. But that being said I did really enjoy the stance that Felicity took in this episode where she has stood by Oliver's side through everything even if she didn't entirely agree with it but the minute she does something he doesn't like Oliver wants her to stand down and just how unfair that is. I liked the conflict between John and Lyla about doing what is right when John finds out the Lyla is doing some things that aren't entirely legal. Also, the moments between Rene and Lance was great with them talking about being there for your daughters. The fight scene between Team Arrow and Helix was pretty cool with both sides not fully knowing what the other side knew. It was a little annoying how Felicity kind of just kept getting in the way because she knew Team Arrow wouldn't ever kill her. I still have a really strong feeling that Helix has a bug in one of the flash drives they gave to Felicity and using that they can hack into Team Arrows information at any time. And just overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode to watch.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 18 "Disbanded" Review

Diggle and Felicity are shocked by Oliver's decision to ask the Bratva for help in taking down Prometheus.

This was a really interesting episode that wasn't all that exciting but it still was really entertaining to watch. I liked how Oliver didn't want to be the Green Arrow but he still had this desire to take down Adrian so he went and brought the Bratva in to do the dirty work and try and do something that Adrain wouldn't suspect. And with that I liked how they came up with many different things that Adrain wouldn't suspect in the in the attempt to take him down, the main one being a picture of Adrain in the Prometheus costume without the mask on. It was kind of fun to watch Felicity and Curtis working without the rest of the group to try and unscramble that picture and get it out to the public. I loved how John never gave up on trying to convince Oliver that he isn't a bad guy and destroying everything he built is a really bad idea. I especially loved the scene where John makes the connection of how he was acting at the beginning of the season being similar to how Oliver is acting now and john isn't going anywhere just like Oliver did for him. All the issues between Oliver and the Bratva were really interesting to watch it all play out, and I can't wait to see what kind of trouble that will bring in the future. And just overall this was a really interesting and entertaining episode to watch and with how it ended with Adrian I'm so excited to see what will happen next.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 17 "Kapiushon" Review

Prometheus goes to extreme lengths to destroy Oliver. In flashbacks, Oliver's violent tendencies come to a head in a confrontation with Anatoly.

This was a really interesting and great episode that I really loved the fact that it only focused on Oliver. It was also really great how this episode was mostly backstory and an actual really interesting backstory compared to some other episodes where the backstory felt random and unnecessary. And it was interesting what happened to Kovar and how Oliver grew into a monster. I liked they gave a little moment of Oliver getting the tattoo for the Bratva and showed the growing relationship between Oliver and Anatoly. Prometheus's whole interrogation scenes were interesting with all the different things Prometheus did to mess with Oliver. I liked that they brought Evelyn back in this episode but I don't like what they did with her because I was willing to accept her back into Team Arrow. It was a little annoying how undetailed Prometheus was with his questions because he just kept saying to Oliver over and over again "Tell me your secret," and what does that mean exactly. Now when Oliver finally did tell Prometheus what he wanted to hear it was very interesting but also not all that surprising to me. I'm very curious to see what they are going to do now that Oliver doesn't want to be the Green Arrow anymore and wants Team Arrow to stop. And just overall this was a really great episode that was so entertaining and interesting to watch.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 16 "Checkmate" Review

Oliver gets closer to the truth about Prometheus; Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity until she does a favor for them.

This was a really interesting and great episode that was very entertaining to watch but it went a little different than how I was expecting it to go. I really like that Oliver finally knows that Adrian is Prometheus and things can get moving a bit more there. But as soon as Oliver found out Adrian's personality seemed to fully change which was a little weird that he didn't seem to try and hide it from anyone anymore. Then bringing Talia back into the mix was fun with her being mad at Oliver for killing her father. But I really do agree with Oliver that she is such a smart person why would she ever side with Adrian even if Oliver killed her father. It was interesting in the scene where Oliver and John break into Adrian's house and find his wife and try and explain to her what is going on before the SCPD break in. And how Adrian's wife played the rest of this episode was interesting but I don't think it was all the necessary. The ending between Oliver and Arian was really great with them fighting before Talia came in to take Oliver away. I'm so excited to see what team arrow will do now the Oliver is missing and what they will do to get him back. And I want to know what Adrian truly wants Oliver for that he kept bringing up throughout this episode that he didn't want to kill him. All the moments with Felicity and Helix was interesting with the favor of favor system they are running on and I wonder how that might come to bite Felicity in the future. And just overall this was an entertaining and great episode and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 15 "Fighting Fire with Fire" Review

When Vigilante attacks Oliver while he's acting as mayor, Diggle leads the team on a mission to stop Vigilante for good.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that had some really great surprises that I loved so much. I liked that this whole episode had Oliver without being the Green Arrow because he realized how hard it would be to run around as the Green Arrow at that time. Then the Vigilante attacking Oliver because of the fact of what he did to protect the Green Arrow was really interesting but a little confusing of a plot point to bring the Vigilante back into the mix. I really loved all the fight scenes between the Vigilante and the rest of team Arrow. Especially the final fight scene between them where we got to see Curtis's new inventions. Then I had a strong feeling that Adrian was either going to end up being the Vigilante or Prometheus because he seemed to be getting a lot more screen time as of late and he just seemed a little off, and I'm happy I was right about that assumption. Then Oliver making the decision to come out and blame the death of the detective on the Green Arrow was a really interesting move and I'm curious to know how that will eventually all turn out for him. Thea in this was really interesting with her doing more and more terrible things to cover for Oliver and protect him. Then the ending for Felicity was interesting with her going and joining this hacker group that is obsessed with her. And that seems like a really interesting side story I want to see what they'll do with. And just overall this was a really entertaining and great episode and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next one.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 14 "The Sin-Eater" Review

Three of Oliver's old foes break out of prison and form an alliance; Meanwhile, Lance is confronted about an old partnership.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that was really interesting on how they decided to do everything. I liked the idea of breaking these three women out of jail, but their mission to get Church's money and the fact that they really were not in this episode much at all was really kind of annoying to me. Most of this episode focused on the Green Arrow being chased by the SCPD and how Oliver tried to fix that. Oliver confronting the police captain about falsifying information about Malone's death was kind of cool for some parts like with what he said about the Green Arrow being a hero, but also kind of dumb for what came out of it. I really liked all the flashback scenes in this episode where Covar talks about the story of the sin-eater and how Oliver is like that because the sin-eater goes and take on all the sins of those around him in the hopes that the others can go on sin free. The event that Thea decided to do in order to protect Oliver from being outed as the Green Arrow was really interesting and I liked how they related it back to something that her mother would have done because that was kind of true. And just overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 13 "Spectre of the Gun" Review

Following a traumatic attack on City Hall, flashbacks show how Rene became Wild Dog.

This was a really interesting and okay episode that was really entertaining to watch everything play out. It was really interesting how this whole episode was kind of its own perspective on the gun control debate, but also not fully taking one side or the other but kind of just establishing that guns are a problem that needs to be fixed. It was kind of cool that most of this episode revolved around Oliver not being the Green Arrow but rather him just being the mayor and solving the problems that way. Then the whole attack of City Hall was interesting with how they decided to show it and who got hit and who didn't. Then the actual gunman in this episode was kind of hard to follow his motive because he wanted somewhat of revenge for the fact that his family died at the hands of a rogue gunman but also like understood that even if some laws were in place nothing could have been done to stop the murder of his family because that person got a hold of the gun illegally. So I really don't know what was going on there, but that whole final conversation between the gunman and Oliver was really interesting. Then it was also cool in the moment where Oliver brought up all the people he had lost due to violence. Then going into Rene's whole backstory was kind of cool with how he went from being this family man to having basically no one. But some of it felt a little too overdone with how bad everything got in that sort of final fight to save his wife. But I did like the ending where he watched the Green Arrow kill Darhk and that was his little spark of inspiration. And the whole fight on gun control between Rene and Curtis that kind of helped to reveal a bit of Rene's past was interesting with how it ended with Curtis wanting to help Rene get his daughter back. And just overall this was a really interesting episode and I can't wait to see what the next one will bring.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 12 "Bratva" Review

A mission sends Team Arrow to Russia where Oliver encounters an old friend.

This was a really interesting episode that was not one of my favorites because it was kind of boring but it was still in okay episode on its own. I did really like the team getting out of Starling City and having and adventure together. It was a little hard of a storyline to follow because everyone was moving around to different locations all over Russia and they all seemed kind of random but somehow they were all connected together. It was a little weird how easily the Bratva took Oliver back after what he did. Because in the first scene they hated him, but then he like kind of apologized to the leader and he let Oliver back in so quickly it just seemed really weird to me. All the attempts to catch the man who wronged Diggle was very interesting with how both scenes turned out and I did really like they made the last decision of what to do up to Diggle to decide whether to kill the guy or not. I also liked that Ragman used his powers to stop and explosion from killing more people, but it was a little sad that his ropes got destroyed in the process and now has to find a way to fix them. The scene where Felicity had to go and get some information out of a guy was really cool with how it was all done and how she used some information from the USB drive she got to get the guy to talk to her. I also really liked the moments with Lance and him getting his position as deputy mayor back. It was also cool when Rene helped Lance prepaid for his interview and Rene talked about how Lance once helped him years ago. Then finally bringing back Susan's quest to learn about Oliver's backstory was a little annoying because it has been so long since it was last brought up. But it was nice that it was discussed how Oliver could be the Green Arrow. And just overall this was a really interesting episode and hopefully, the next one will be better.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 11 "Second Chances" Review

Talia al Ghul helps Oliver take down Kovar, but he isn't sure he wants it when she reveals what she requests in return.

This was a really interesting episode that had some good moments to it but it was a really kind of boring episode. The main thing in this episode was getting Tina to pick up the role of Black Canary. I did really like them going a bit into her backstory of when she became a meta-human, and I really like that they made the connection of she got the power of the Canary cry because she was screaming when the dark matter hit her. It was a little annoying how stuck up Tina was with any idea of having the Green Arrow help her on her quest for revenge. The parts with Talia in this episode were really interesting with her knowing all these things about Oliver and what he has done. Now it seems like she is going to help Oliver become the Arrow. And she just seemed like a really cool character and I can't wait to see more of her. It was really fun to see Felicity using some of her hacking skills to find a way to help out Diggle. And it was fun to meet one member of a group that is kind of fans of Felicity's past hackism work. Just overall this was an interesting episode to watch but it was a little boring and not that much to it.

Arrow Season 5 Episode 10 "Who Are You?" Review

Worried that Prometheus may be right about him being a killer, Oliver finds a ray of hope in the apparent return of Laurel. Felicity swears revenge against Prometheus for causing Malone's death.

This was a really interesting episode that was kind of predictable for me but still really entertaining to watch. The main thing hat was really predictable for me was how Laurel could be back, I did really like her excuse of how Sarah went back in time and saved her and stuff like that managed to be just far-fetched enough for me to take it as truth. It was a little annoying to have Felicity constantly going behind Oliver's back to stop Black Siren. But I also understood it from her perspective because Oliver kept trying to make Black Siren into Laurel when she is not anymore. Then it was a little weird to follow in the whole final fighting scene between team arrow and Prometheus because everything seemed to jump around a lot I got really confused at some points. Then I wonder how STAR Labs didn't notice when Black Siren went missing because it seemed like they figured it out when Felicity asked them about it. Then I wonder want Black Siren's plan might have been if Felicity hadn't made the team stop and capture her. Because that point in time wasn't the clearest on whether or not Black Siren was still working for Prometheus. I really find odd how Oliver wants to find the Laurel inside of Black Siren because it makes no sense to me because she might become nicer but she is from a different earth so she will never fully be like the other Laurel. And just overall this was a really great episode and I can't wait to see more.
