Arrow Season 5 Episode 21 "Honor Thy Fathers" Review
Oliver faces the forced release of criminals prosecuted by Adrian Chase, while a crate is delivered to Oliver's office containing a corpse in concrete.
This was a really interesting episode that was entertaining to watch was still not one of the best episodes out there. I did really like Thea being back and what they decided to do with a story line for both her and Oliver for this episode with them discovering some more of the secrets there father hid from them. And I liked the moments where we get to see what their father truly thought of Oliver and Thea and what he kind of had planned for the two of them. Then I found it interesting with what they did with Rene in this episode and how he was really hesitant to go through with this court case to get his daughter back because he didn't want to have to talk about all the terrible things in his daughter's life before she was taken away. And he is struggling with the idea of whether having his daughter back would be the best thing for her or if she is better off staying with her foster family. Then the actual case down of some of these criminals prosecuted by Chase was cool with them working for Chase to recreate the plans of sickness that Chase's father tried to do but on a bigger scale. Then the actual final fight scene between Oliver and Chase was interesting but I didn't much care for it because Adrian just sort of backed down because he discovered his father didn't actually care for him. And that just seemed like such a terrible idea that Adrian either has to have something planned out for the inside of his cell or it was just some really bad writing. But I did like that Oliver didn't just kill Adrian he did bring Adrian to justice somewhat. And I did like when the truth came out about what Oliver's father did Oliver didn't try and hide it he spoke out to the public about what happened and I liked that because it really shows growth of his character. And just overall this was a really great episode that was really entertaining to watch.
