Gotham Season 4 Episode 5 "The Blade's Path" Review

Nygma uses Butch to regain power and identity; Sofia Falcone appeals to Penguin's vulnerable side; Bruce makes bold moves with the dagger in his possession.

This was a really interesting and great episode that left a lot of doors open for where they could take the story. Everything around Bruce this episode was really interesting with him going up against Ra's al Ghul and he sort of figures out more what his possible destiny is and what Ra's al Ghul wants from him. And with how this episode ended I'm very curious to know what they're going to do with the story because they seem to be putting such an emphasis on Ra's al Ghul being around that it would be interesting to see what they're going to do now because they essentially killed him off so he's not there to train Bruce like in the classic sense so maybe he needed Bruce to kill him to like gain more power or something and eventually he'll come back and a reincarnated form or something because it seems so weird for them to just introduce him and then kill him off few episodes later. But then everything Penguin and Sophia were really great with Sophia doing everything I thought she would do and trying to gain Penguins trust and have him on her side too then eventually turn on him and that I'm really excited to see. And then everything with Nygma in this episode was really interesting with how they chose to bring back Butch and have him be Solomon Grundy which is a Gotham character I'm not that familiar with so I'm very interested to see what they're going to do with that storyline and it definitely is a storyline that I'm much more interested in seeing if that's going to be the redemption storyline that seems to be that I'm kind of okay with it. So overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode and I'm really excited to see where they're going to take the storyline next.

Gotham Season 4 Episode 4 "The Demon's Head" Review

Bruce puts the lives of a Gotham Natural History Museum historian and his grandson in danger as he attempts to discover the meaning behind his knife from the auction.

This was a really interesting and okay episode that had a lot of really entertaining moments in the episode. I really liked how in the beginning of this episode they had a bunch of hints as to what the grandson would do just put into the conversation between the historian and Bruce. The two guys who were put in charge by Ra's al Ghul to track down the knife were really weird because they really seemed possessed by something and were really hard to understand why they were there besides to add more obstacles for Bruce. Then it was made even more confusing once it was shown where the knife was actually hiding because at some point I thought it was stated that those two weird people had some kind of connection to the knife so why were they following the grandson and Bruce around instead of following the trail right to the knife. I did really like that Gordon was kind of finally introduced to what Bruce and Alfred have been up to. And it was really cool to see Gordon be introduced to Ra's al Ghul and what story Ra's al Ghul made up as to why he needs the knife saying that he was a historian and wanted to bring the old culture back to his country, and everything was going nicely until Alfred came in and ruined everything. Then the moments between Penguin and Sofia were really great and I’m pretty sure it was hinting at future events when Sofia was talking about how her father used to handle business because I think that is what Sofia is going to do with both Penguin and Gordon where she is going to be there best friend until she gains their trust enough that she turns on them. Then the moments between Penguin and Nygma were great with Penguin choosing to leave Nygma to suffer the loss of his mind. And the whole story they seem to be putting out there that there is going to be this whole storyline around Nygma gaining back his abilities to me doesn’t seem like that exciting of a story to watch unless something cool happens. I did really love the conversation between Nygma and Penguin where Penguin kept referring to Nygma and the Riddler as two different people and said the Nygma can never be the Riddler again but the fact that he never called the Riddler by his name but instead kept referring to the Riddler as him was just so great. And just overall this was a really interesting and entertaining episode to watch and I’m curious to see where they will go from here.

Gotham Season 4 Episode 3 "They Who Hide Behind Masks" Review

Gordon travels to Miami hoping to convince Carmine Falcone to help him fight the Penguin, only to have his daughter follow him back to Gotham.

This was a really interesting and okay episode that did have some really great moments to it. I was a little disappointed that this episode had nothing to do with Scarecrow because he was the main part of this beginning half of this season that I'm looking forward to. There was a lot of focus on Bruce in this episode which was alright because there were some okay moments. I did like how all of this episode was very Bruce's focus and how it all tied back to Ra's al Ghul with one of the main things being around Bruce needing to obtain a knife that Ra's al Ghul also wants. I especially enjoyed those moments because it also hinted that maybe Barbra's mysterious benefactor is Ra's al Ghul because she is also on a quest to obtain this knife. And I really want to know what this knife does because when Barbra is confronted by a league member they seem really happy that Bruce has the knife. And I want to know if Barbra was resurrected in the Lazarus pit and fit she has trained with Ra's al Ghul and has some of his fight skills. Then all the moments with Gordon in Miami was really interesting especially in the moments with Sofia and she seems like such an interesting character that I really excited to see what she is going to do in Gotham. And I really don't believe what Sofia was saying where she forgave Gordon for killing her brother I think she will work with him for a time but eventually, she will get her revenge. And just overall this was a really entertaining and interesting episode to watch and see how everything turned out.

Gotham Season 4 Episode 2 "The Fear Reaper" Review

Gordon is forced to face his inner demons when he tries to bring in Jonathan Crane to prove that the GCPD is still powerful.

This was a really great and entertaining episode that did do a good job at furthering the Scarecrow story that they are telling and adding a whole bunch of new stuff. And I was a little disappointed that they didn't clear up the one part I had questions on earlier which did the fear gas wear off or is there some kind of cure because right away in this episode they showed Penguin and he seemed fine like it wore off. But then later when Gordon gets hit by the gas they make it seem like the only way for him to get over his fear is is to conquer it, and when that happens Crane seemed really surprised like he didn't know there was a cure in general. And then Gordon discovered that just getting the gas off of the peoples faces cured them, and Gordon was surprised by that so that must have not been known. So just all the parts surrounding how to get over the fear gas were really confusing and hard to follow. I loved the scene where Gordon was going into the asylum alone and the way all the shots were constructed made it look like a haunted house kind of thing where you didn't know when someone might pop out. Then the relationship between Gordon and the GCPD was really interesting because most of the department isn't on Gordon's side and he is struggling to keep them believing in themselves and Gordon can't seem to find the right words to give them hope. Then the side stories with Silena, Tabatha, and Barbra where really kind of interesting with them teaming up to create a business that would kind of undermine Penguin, and I really loved it because it had an almost Sirens like feel to it. Then the parts with Ivy were amazing with them furthering her Poison Ivy story farther where she is sick of being the background character so she found a bunch of stuff to make her stronger. And I think it would be really cool if they do have this stuff become the serium that make it so no one can touch her. Then the parts with Bruce were alright because it did further his story more down the road towards becoming the dark knight, but I didn't care for it as much because he is so arrogent. The way he is acting and talking it is like he thinks nothing and hurt him and that is a hero that I have a hard time getting behind. But still I have to say this was a really entertaining and interesting episode and I can't wait to see what they will do with Scarecrow next.

Gotham Season 4 Episode 1 "Pax Penguina" Review

Gordon fears Jonathan Crane is still alive and back in Gotham when The Scarecrow's signature MO is used in a series of robberies. Meanwhile, Penguin's "licensing" of crime in the city backfires during the grand opening of his new Iceberg Lounge. Also, in the aftermath of his encounter with Ra's Al Ghul, Bruce begins his vigilante watch.

This was a really great and entertaining first episode that was mostly just dedicated to reintroducing everyone and introducing some new plots. The idea of the crime licenses is really interesting to see how it all works and I really like the quote from Gordon about how long it will be until Penguin starts licensing murder. Then everything with Crane was really great with them coming up with their own origin story for how he came to be with these other criminals kidnapping him and making him make the fear gas for them. I am also really happy that they brought back the same actor to play Crane I was a little worried that he might be replaced since we haven't seen him since season one. And I'm just really excited to see what they are going to do with him because as I've said before I am a big fan of Scarecrow and I can't wait to see more of him. Then the moments with Bruce were okay with him starting out on his quest of being a hero by going around and stopping small street crime. But then the scene where he goes and confronts Penguin was a little too far for him at the moment and I'm happy Alfred was there to hold him back a bit. Then just overall this was a really great first episode and I can't wait to see where they will go from here.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 19 "All Will Be Judged" Review

Temple Shaman takes Bruce to the next phase of his training; Gordon and Bullock discover a crystal owl that carries the biggest secrets of Gotham's underworld; Nygma and Penguin must work together to get out of a tricky situation.

And this was a really interesting episode that wasn't the most like exciting of episodes but it still had some really entertaining and really kind of interesting and great moments in it. And I did really enjoy all the things with Gordon and Bullock now going around trying to stop the Court of Owls but having a hard time with it because the fact that the Court of Owls knows that Gordon betrayed them and it's pretty much them trying to come after and kill Gordon, so they're trying to go bringing down the court in a very different way and just all that was really interesting to see. Especially with them bringing back their old commissioner who is much more looking like the Judge and filling in for not quite that character but a very similar sort of person to that character of the villain of the Judge and that was interesting to see him like living his life as a crazy person but not understanding that he is sick and crazy he thinks he's a clear minded person and that was interesting to see. I liked him going through that hold court case actually with Gordon and that whole scene of him actually claiming Gordon as guilty for everything he's done was interesting to see and just to see they're old commissioner in his duties as being the Judge and trying to kill Gordon and cut off his head because of everything he's done interesting kind of exciting to see. And then I really enjoyed the scene where Gordon goes and finally bring in the head Lady of the Court of Owls that I can't remember her name, but they bring her in and are questioning her and stuff and Alfred is just outside the door because he's gone to them knowing now that Bruce is missing. It was interesting how Alfred has his own agenda trying to get Bruce back from the court, and the three of them trying to work against the Court of Owls was interesting to see with each of them trying to approach the situation in different ways. Then the scenes with Penguin and Nygma were okay but they definitely one of the weaker parts in this episode. Because it was mostly just them bickering back and forth with each other for a while until they're like "okay I guess we have to work together to get out of this," and then essentially they escaped without really showing fully how they did it just showed like the first step of how they got out. I'm interested more to see once like they're five hours that they agreed upon is up and they finally can go back to try and kill each other I'm excited to see what's going to happen there. Then the moments with Bruce in this episode were entertaining with them going back to the memory of his parent's death and the Shaman helping his to get past the emotions thereby having his anger turn towards the Court and the part they played in his parent's death and no longer at the fact that they died. With that, I'm curious to see what the Shaman has planned for Burce because he kind of turned Bruce into an emotionless shell and in the preview he had Bruce working with the Court so I'm curious to see what will happen there. Anf just overall this was a really entertaining episode but it was more of an episode to set up what is going to happen next.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 18 "Light the Wick" Review

Gordon tracks down the weapon the Court of Owls intend to use for the destruction of Gotham; Kathryn and Temple Shaman tell Bruce about their next move; Ivy offers Selina help.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that was a little hard to follow but it was still really great. All the parts with Gordon and the Court of Owls were really interesting with the Court wanting Gordon to prove that he is loyal to them when they have a lot of evidence points overwise. So it was cool when they did the test run on the Alice Tetch virus and they had Gordon be the one to deploy the weapon on the first group of people and they did it to see if he would follow their orders. Then it was interesting to watch Penguin on his quest to track down Nygma and he knows Gordon was the last one to see him alive so Penguin and his group end up having to help Gordon in order to get information on where to find Nygma. Then Ivy was pretty cool with them showing more of her knowledge of plants helping her to save Selina. And it was great to see that the two of them are still really great friends even if they weren't on the best footing last time they saw each other. Then the moments with Bruce were interesting with them focusing on a different memory in Bruce's life all in the quest to make him the guardian of Gotham. And I loved that they focused on a different memory instead of the classic memory of watching his parents die, instead they focused on the moment that he truly first felt alone and angry which was at his parents funeral and he got upset because everyone there was focused on him being an orphan and not on the fact that his parents were murdered and the killer was still out there. And the just overall this was a really interesting and great episode to watch and I'm curious to see what will happen to everyone next.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 17 "The Primal Riddle" Review

The most unhinged villains of Gotham come together as the Riddler continues his conquest; Gordon's search for answers keeps leading him back to the Court of Owls; Alfred notices a change in Bruce while Bruce 2 confides in Selina.

This was a really interesting episode that wasn't the greatest of episodes but I still liked watching and seeing how everything turned out. I really liked having the Riddler going after the Court because they were the answer to a question he couldn't figure out. And it was really great how everything around the Riddler and Gordon sort of came full circle by the end of the episode by giving the Riddler the answers he needed about the Court through Gordon and Gordon getting into the Court by using the Riddler as his proof of loyalty. It was really interesting how they had a bit of a story line about how the Riddler is driving a divide between Barbra and Tabitha. The moments with Penguin and Ivy gathering together a team to take back Gotham was really great with them bringing back Mr.Freeze and Firefly. Especially with how both Mr.Freeze and Firefly reacted to the offer was really nice. Then the moments with the Bruce clone and Selina was great with there how conversation and the clone not wanting to say too much and Selina refusing to believe him that trouble is coming. And the ending for Selina was great with all these cats gathering around her. Then overall this was a really fun and interesting episode to watch.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 16 "These Delicate and Dark Obsessions" Review

Gordon discovers new information about his father and uncle's past just as the Court of Owls devises a new plan for the future of Gotham.

This was a really interesting and entertaining episode that was a little confusing but still interesting to see how everything played out. I liked all the moments with Penguin and Ivy and the growth of Ivy's abilities of persuasion. And it was cool to watch Penguin grow to trust Ivy and I can't wait to see the army of freaks get together. Then Gordon going around learning more of the truth about his father's death was interesting but when the truth came out I still don't understand why Gordon's uncle wanted Gordon to know who actually killed his father. It was really cool how Gordon needed some help to secretly follow the Court of Owls so he sent Barbra to track the weapon for him. Then the ending for Gordon makes me excited to see what he will do next. Then all the moments with Bruce and the Shaman were really great with the Shaman trying to help Bruce become the protector of Gotham. It was really great how they addressed how Bruce never really left the alley where his parents died because that is so true to Batman and how one small thing can bring him back to that night. And just overall this was a really great episode and I'm excited to see where they will go from here.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 15 "How the Riddler Got His Name" Review

Ed finally got Penguin to pay for his terrible actions and finds himself with a new dilemma on which path to take.

This was a really great episode that was so entertaining and fun to watch how everything plays out. I liked Ed in this episode but they made him a little too crazy for my taste. I loved how they were willing to joke about how weird of a villain Ed is as the Riddler by having people not really take him seriously when he was trying to kill them. And the ending where he fully got into the classic Riddler costume was so great because it was so simple. Having Fox as Ed's enemy in this episode was great because it really gave Fox some time to shine and is was cool to see a bit for his back and forth with Ed. The moments with Gordon in this episode were interesting with him learning about the court of owls more and a bit more about him past and what truly happened to his father. Gordon's uncle is a really interesting character that I want to know a bit more about and see where he truly stands in the alliance with the court. The moments with Bruce were okay with his clone taking over his life. I liked how they got Bruce out of his mansion to be kidnapped by using Selina. And I liked how there was a moment of hesitation in Alfred at the end of this episode with it really seeming like he could tell there is something off about Bruce. How this episode ended for Bruce makes me really excited to see what will happen to him next and how he will get out of the situation he is in. And just overall this was a really entertaining and fun episode to watch.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 14 "The Gentle Art of Making Enemies" Review

With Jerome on the loose with one Target in mind, Bruce and Alfred's safety is compromised, meanwhile, Gordon's Uncle Frank pays him a visit. And Nygma and Penguin are forced to confront their issues face-to-face with possible deadly consequences.

This was a really cool episode that really went down the way I was expecting it to go, but it still was really cool to watch everything play out. I really liked all the moments of just sheer and utter chaos that was going on around Gotham. And Jerome going in and taking Bruce was really cool with Bruce using Jerome's love of putting on a show to gain a few extra hours of his life for Alfred to go and get help. All of the boardwalk scenes was really great with the people who usually run the games now having to be a part of them, so like the guy who ran the shooting gallery now had to be one of the moving targets. Then the actual ending fight scene between Jerome and Bruce was really great but I kind of feel that there was a lot of moment where they forgot that Bruce broke his wrist to get out of the handcuffs. And I liked that the story for Bruce kind of ended with Bruce setting up the first one of his rules which were if he was going to fight evil he will never kill. Then the moments between Nygma and Penguin were kind of cool but also really kind of boring with all the things of Penguin kind of proving that he can actually love something. And I don't think Penguin is going to stay dead because they really just can't do that. And for having a chunk of the rest of this season be about Nygma becoming the Riddler is a really cool story but I really don't know what they can do to extend that story out. Because I love the Riddler to the bottom of my heart but he kind of is a boring character without a lot of substance to him to carry a story alone. So that is part of the reason I think Penguin will be back because a double revenge story could be a good story. And just overall this was a really great episode and I'm curious to see what there going to do when the show comes back in April.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 13 "Smile Like You Mean It" Review

On the run from Gordon and Bullock, Dwight tries to revive Jerome and, in turn, activates his acolytes around Gotham City. Meanwhile, Selina's mom's intentions in Gotham are revealed, and the power play between Penguin and Nygma escalates as Barbara's plans are set in place.

This was a really interesting episode that was so much fun to watch and see how everything played out. I like the idea of bringing Jerome back and how they kind of did a few everyone's theories on how bringing Jerome back would be accomplished. It was really fun in the moment where Dwight is first stepping out as the leader of the group while wearing Jerome's face and Jerome is back in the police station criticizing him for not having any stage presence or anything like that. It was interesting with how they decided to go with this idea Jerome's followers being anyone so you never really knew who to trust. Also, I liked how Jerome seemed really interested in the idea of these followers behind him but then again he really didn't seem to care whether or not this group of followers lived or died. Then the ending with Jerome making his appearance and showing how it is really done was great to see and I'm so excited to see what will happen next. Then the moments with Selina's whole story were interesting to see but not all that excited because for me they were kind of predictable and a little boring. And Penguin's moments were great with how Nygma and Barbra got Penguin to disassemble him villain empire pretty much all by himself. And now I curious to see what will happen to Penguin now and how Barbra will reassemble the gangs to follow her. And just overall I really enjoyed this episode and I can't wait to see what they will do next.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 12 "Ghosts" Review

Falcone places a hit on Gordon after learning that he shot Mario. Gordon and Bullock discover a follower of Jerome, who plans to bring him back to life. Meanwhile, Penguin spirals out of control before the biggest television interview of his Mayoral career, and Bruce and Selina deal with Selina's mom's return to Gotham.

This was a very interesting episode that was a little hard to follow and really jumped around a lot in its stories. I really like the idea at the beginning of this episode where Leslie hated Gordon for what he has done to repeatedly ruin her life. But the fact that Falcone was only willing to get his revenge on Gordon if Leslie wanted it too seemed a little far fetch especially with how quickly Leslie changes her mind. I did really like the Jerome cult get together and how creepy they kind of made it feel. Then it was really fun having Zsasz back and having him compliment Gordon on his skills while also trying to kill him. It was kind of hard to watch this episode because there were like four completely different stories going on that really seemed to jump around more than normal and I didn't really care for that. The parts with Penguin in this episode were really great with Penguin slowly going crazy, and it was interesting when the truth was actually reviled that Nygma was behind all of it and what Nygma's future plans are for Penguin. Then the moments with Bruce and Selina were really interesting for a number of reasons. I really liked getting to know Selina's mother and kind of seeing that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It was also really cool that they did bring up the court of owls figurine in the simplest of ways and I'm very excited to see what they map the figurine showed leads to. Then ending was also really cool with this group of cult people working to bring Jerome back and all their secret experiment they are trying to do in order to get it all right. And just overall this was a really great episode and I'm excited to see more.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 11 "Beware the Green-Eyed Monster" Review

Mario and Gordon face off before the wedding, Selina meets an unexpected face and Barbara comes to Nygma with information about Isabella.

This was a really great and mind messing of an episode that was so much fun to watch. I loved watching Mario using the fact that he is infected with Alice's blood and unlike Barns Mario is using more of a mental manipulation to get what he want out of everything. Because Mario's whole plan seems to be to drive Gordon crazy while also giving Lee enough reason to start to hate Gordon. And with how this episode ended I don't think that hate will go away in any kind of easy way. I did like that they brought back in the way for the test for Alice's blood to be proven negative, I'm happy that they did make that an important moment in this episode and not have it be something that was kind of thrown away. Then the scene with Jervis was so great with Gordon using Jervis's love of making all he says sound like it is coming out of a storybook and tricking Jervis into saying things he doesn't want to. All the moments with Nygma in this episode were really great with how he walked around the narratives set up by Penguin to eventually find out the truth of everything. I'm kind of happy that Barbra didn't get to involved in Nygma finding out the truth but rather she kind of laid the seeds for Nygma to follow. Then Bruce trying to learn all this stuff on how to break into an area to get whatever is inside the court of owls safe was kind of cool to watch, but also a little boring because they set it up like Selina wasn't going to help out, but really, of course, she is going to help Bruce break in. But overall I have to say I really enjoyed this episode and I can't wait for more.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 10 "Time Bomb" Review

A threat to Lee and Mario is exposed on the eve of their rehearsal dinner and Falcone comes to Jim for help. Meanwhile, Nygma plans his revenge and Bruce learns more about the Court of Owls.

This was a really great episode that had so many parts to it that I really enjoyed watching. All the moments with Nygma in this episode were really great with him going through all this stuff trying to make Butch feel the same way he is feeling. And with that all the moments with Barbra were really interesting to see how much she has learned from Tabitha in the way of getting information out of people. I was also interesting in how they decided to show that Butch is actually innocent by having him admit that he killed Isabella but end up describing the killing wrong. Then Bruce finding this other group that opposes the Court of Owls and are finding a way to bring them down was very cool. But I knew with the power the Court of Owls have this other group would last very long especially after coming in contact with Bruce. I still really want to know more about the key that Bruce has because they did say that it leads to the way to bring down that Court of Owls and they originally thought there was only one key and then they discovered there was two. The fact that Bruce decided to go with this other group is probably not going to end well for him either because the Court of Owls is easily not that far away from him. The whole part surrounding Mario was kind of cool because of all the different paths leading to the final solution was kind of cool. I did really like the fact that Lee and Gordon finally sort of broke up and said there goodbyes to each other. It was also really cool tat they finally started to show Alice's blood affecting Mario because I forgot that he came in contacts with some of her blood. It is a little sad though to because it just so happens that Mario goes crazy just at the moment Lee finally has the chance to be happy.  Overall I really enjoyed this episode and I can't wait to see what Barbra has cooked up to stir up so drama.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 9 "The Executioner" Review

Gordon and Bullock become suspicious of Barnes and go through evidence of a murder at Lee and Mario's engagement party. Nygma goes to Penguin when he doesn't hear from Isabella. Ivy leads Selina and Bruce to trouble when she reveals her identity.

This was a really great episode to wrap up everything that happened in the last episode as well as try to add something for future episodes. I loved all the scenes with Gordon and him trying to sneak around Barnes and figure out what the truth is. The number of bodies that Barnes was leaving behind does make me wonder why they didn't talk about the massive amount of dead people in the city more, but that could easily be a timing thing and nothing more. Then I'm curious to know how Barnes realized that Gordon was on to him because he went from suspicious to killer pretty quickly after just a few odd things that Gordon was doing. The whole chase scene between Gordon and Barnes was really great, and I love how the police wouldn't believe Bullock if he says that Barnes was sick so Bullock had to get Lee's help. The moments with Ivy were great for the fact of being able to see more of her and I like that she doesn't have her normal comic powers per say but she is using her knowledge of plants to be almost like a superpower which I really like. Then the key that the group found I curious to know more about that and who the group is that is trying to track them down. Then Nygma on the investigation to figure out what happened to Isabella had some good moments to it but for the most part, it was a little boring. I like the scene where he is at the train line putting the clues together in his head, that was fun to see him using his brain to see the parts that don't add up. Overall this was a fun episode to watch and had some parts to it that I really enjoyed.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 8 "Blood Rush" Review

Captain Barnes begins to feel the effects of a recent incident and starts to go mad. Meanwhile, Nygma is out of his depth in his relationship with Isabella, and Carmine Falcone throws his son Mario and Leslie Tompkin's an engagement party.

This was a very exciting and great episode that left me so happy and really fangirling so much. I really love that this episode focused pretty much just on Barnes and everything that was going on with him. Just watching Alice's blood effect him more and more was really interesting to see. I really enjoyed the scene where Barnes went to the Mad Hatter in Arkham to see if there is a way around the effects and I fairly surprised Barnes didn't kill are harm the Mad Hatter in any drastic way. All the parts with the killer surgeon were really interesting but I wish they would have been a bit more of a forefront topic in this episode than what they were because he was just kind of sprinkled in there without any real depth to him. I knew they were going to bring the Judge into this season because they have to in order to make the Court of Owls storyline work out right but they way they showed the origin of the Judge in this episode is what really made my fan heart fall in love because for me it was kind of unexpected and just done so well. Then Nygma and Isabella were really interesting in this episode but also a little creepy with the depth they went to to prove that they can trust each other and know that Nygma won't every hurt her. I was not all that surprised when Penguin finally had enough of their relationship and decided to end it himself the only way he really knows how to. Overall this was a really fun and great episode, and I'm really excited to see what they will do next now that Gordon knows Barnes secret.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 7 "Red Queen" Review

After coming in contact with a substance by the hand of Mad Hatter, Jim Gordon gets led on a psychedelic trip and must confront his past, present and future. Meanwhile, Penguin struggles with Nygma's new relationship.

This is was a really great and really interesting episode that had a lot to it I wasn't expecting. I really like the Mad Hatter's whole plan that in the last episode he took care of Gordon to some extent and now his plan the next day get rid of all Gotham. And I really enjoyed the scene where the Mad Hatter at the shop getting all the stuff to make Alice's blood more potent and he finds this other dust that just happens have the perfect name or his whole theme. I was expecting the Mad Hatter's whole plan to set this virus all over Gotham was going to be more along the lines of what happened with the Viper drug from season one, but the way that he actually chose to go about it I find very interesting where he decided like just target the rich and powerful. And then within that same scene, I really like that Penguin met the Court of Owls kind of, didn't know it. Then the whole idea of taking Gordon off the case unless he wanted to be a police officer I thought was a very interesting way of going about doing this episode where they finally kind of have Gordon separated from everyone else so no one's really there to help him when he needs help and he's not really there to help the GCPD also. All the scenes where Gordon is hallucinating were very interesting with how they were all done. I really liked how they were all stylized, but then what was actually going on in those moments was kind of confusing and hard to follow, but I still got the general idea of it all. Then I enjoyed the moments between Penguin and Nygma where Penguins sort of finally figures out that Nygma might not feel the same way about him, and then Penguin sets out to destroy Nygma's newest relationship. Overall I really enjoyed this episode and I'm very happy with how the episode ended all the characters.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 6 "Follow the White Rabbit" Review

Mad Hatter sets his eyes on his next victims, forcing Jim Gordon to make some tough decisions. Meanwhile, Penguin and Nygma's relationship evolves, and a familiar face comes back into Nygma's life.

This was a really great and amazing episode that put the focus back on Tetch and all his plans of revenge on Gordon. The beginning was really cool where Tetch had collected all these different people and made several different obstacles that Gordon had to choose between. The one part that kind of confused me, however, was the end of the last episode where Tetch had the one girl dressed up as Alice and then killed her. That part kind of confused me with this episode because they never really seemed to go back to her that whole possible part of Titch's plan kind of seemed to be forgotten. Then it was really weird to see all the different things Tetch did to kind of stick with the Alice in wonderland theme but then again not go back to the dead Alice that he killed in the last episode. The whole idea of making Gordon have to choose between the two women he loves I really enjoyed for the beginning chuck where he is messing with Gordon's mind but when the ending chunk of that whole plan came about where there is a literal gun to Lee and Valerie's heads it kind of fell flat in my mind. And the whole idea the Gordon loves Valerie seemed a little odd to me because they only really just started seeing each other like a few days before all these events started happening. The growing relationship between Penguin and Nygma that this episode showed was a very interesting stray from the comics that I feel like it is going to come back and bite Penguin in the future because Nygma might not truly feel the same way. Overall I really enjoyed this episode and I can't wait for more.

Gotham Season 3 Episode 5 "Anything for You" Review

Crime in Gotham is at an all-time high, as Penguin struggles to uphold his promises to the city. Meanwhile, Butch goes down a dark path with the infamous Red Hood Gang and Bruce begins to investigate Ivy's whereabouts.

This was a really interesting episode that was kind of entertaining to watch. I was really excited with the Red Hood Gang at first because I was happy they were back in action and I was hoping that they might have some kind of connection to Jerome because in the comics there was that connection. And was just super excited to see them again and then when the twist happened where it turns out they were just there working for Butch so then Butch could get back into Penguins favor I was really disappointed because with that they were no longer real to me it was all fake and I didn't like that. Then Nygma's sort of revenge on Butch I was not expecting it to go the way it did but with that I kind of knew that they couldn't just go and kill Penguin and have it stick. With how this episode ended between Penguin and Nygma however, still, makes me think that Nygma might have something up his sleeve when it comes to playing second fiddle to Penguin. Gordons's relationship with Valerie I was not expecting it to go in the direction it did in this episode. Ivy messing with Selina because she doesn't recognize her I really loved seeing and I can't wait for when Selina finds out the truth. Then Bruce and his quest to tell Selina how he feels was very interesting with how he went about telling her and the ending between them was so perfect because it was kind of like if that moment was directly taken out of the comic book. Overall I really liked this episode and I can't wait to see what The Mad Hatter is up to in the next episode.
