Young and Hungry Season 3 Episode 4 "Young & Parents" Review

Josh and Gabi's relationship is tested when their parents meet; Sofia, Yolanda, and Elliot have a little too much fun at the movies.

this was a nice episode in comparison to the last two episodes but it really is starting to get a bit boring of a show. Bringing in and finally introducing both Josh's mother and Gabi's father was nice because I was wondering for a long time what they would be like, and I wasn't too far off in my guess. All the moments with the secondary group of Yolanda, Sofia, and Elliot was a better story part the brought up the themes of some of the racial stereotyping in America in a very comedic way and I enjoyed how that whole problem actually ended. Then the whole situation with Josh, Gabi, and there families I wasn't expecting it to go they way it did and it was funny when Josh made the comparison to the Lannister family. The ending of the episode was also not how I was expecting it to go but I'm actually excited to see where this might lead the group next. Overall this episode is a lot better than the past ones this season and I'm very happy about that.

Young and Hungry Season 3 Episode 3 "Young & First Date" Review

Josh and Gabi aim to have a perfect first date, but ultimately have to come to terms with the fact that "perfect" just isn't for them.

This was another interesting but not the greatest of episodes. I guess it is all wrapping up in my mind to say that I'm not a big fan of Gabi and Josh actually being together because it leads to really boring storey plots. This whole episode revolves around the two of them finally going on a first date. The whole idea of the failed perfect date just was overplayed to the extreme with how bad everything went. And the whole episode really kind of felt like everyone was talking through each other instead of to each other. The moment between Sofia and Gabi when Sofia finally told he that she slept with Jake was also really weird because the mood of everyone seemed to go from super angry to calmed down and good really quick. And this whole episode really made no sense what so ever. Overall I thought this episode was entertaining but not that great.

Young and Hungry Season 3 Episode 2 "Young & Coachella" Review

The Coachella music festival proves to be the perfect crowd for Gabi's munchies, though the food truck isn't the only success. With Gabi on cloud nine, Sofia looks for new company for her misery. Meanwhile, Elliot and Alan try to salvage their honeymoon.

This was a very interesting episode but not the greatest of ones. The episode was very predictable on how everything was going to go down, and it just seemed like there wasn't much to this episode. It is nice to finally have Josh and Gabi together but everything just seems to be going really fast. Which surprisingly I care for even less than I care for everything going slow like it has in the past two seasons. I knew Jake wouldn't be happy with Josh and Gabi's relationship but it was a little weird that they decided to go about as though he was doing all the things to sabotage the relationship unconsciously. And I knew that at the end of the day Sofia was going to end up hooking up with Jake. So overall this episode was definitely entertaining but it was very predictable and not the greatest of episodes.

Young and Hungry Season 2 Episode 17 "Young and Trashy" Review

After Gabi and Sofia learn that the thrift-store turtleneck they purchased for Josh once belonged to Steve Jobs, they try to get it back.

This was a very funny episode with an ending I really didn't expect. I mean the whole Steve Jobs t-shirt thing I guessed the minute they brought up his name. But the rest was just crazy but funny. The whole bobble head thing was kind of creepy. The line that Gabi brought up to Josh was very inspirational that even Steve Jobs had some filers. In the end Yolanda got to have some fun messing with Elliot, and this was a very great episode.

Young and Hungry Season 2 Episode 16 "Young and How Sofia Got Her Groove Back" Review

Gabi attempts to keep Sofia from moving back to Florida. Elliot and Yolanda's exercise routine yields more pain then gain. Josh is emasculated following a date with a spin instructor.

This was a very funny and good episode that seemed to give each character a good amount of screen time. I felt the acting for Sofia was a little off on how sad she was (or was not) for having to move back to Florida. But I do love that she finally has a job again after making her stoop as low as the show put in this episode. The whole olive oil comparison joke was really funny and well done. Over all a really funny episode and I'm exited to see what will happen next.

Young and Hungry Season 2 Episode 15 "Young and Earthquake" Review

A fortuneteller's accurate prediction of an earthquake causes problems for Gabi and Sofia. Yolanda helps Josh confront his fear of aftershock.

This was a very funny and really good episode. I love the little details that they put into each of the fortunes and the way each played out. I really liked the joke in the beginning that says when ever you read a fortune cookie end it with in bed. And again Sofia keeps me really curious with wondering what's going to happen to her now with her new doctor buddy. Over all this is defiantly one of my favorite episodes.

Young and Hungry Season 2 Episode 14 "Young and Oh Brother!" Review

Sofia's younger brother arrives in San Francisco and asks Gabi out on a date. Causing many breaks between Gabi and Sofia's friendship. Josh and Yolanda scramble to plan a last minute bachelor party for Elliot.
This was a very cute episode with a lot of big cheesy happy ending. It was very funny and well written. I loved all the twist and turns each character took to solve there problems. And I really loved the line "A few minutes ago you where so far in the closet you where in Narnia. "  I'm still very curious what there going to do with Sofia needing a job, and I wonder if there going to show Elliot and Alan's wedding and when that will be. Over all this was a very great and funny episode.

Young and Hungry Season 2 episode 13 "Young and Unemployed" Review

This episode is basically about Sofia loses her job and her boyfriend dumps her. So to try and pick her back up Gabi tries to get Sofa a job working for Josh. But when that doesn't work out the lies continue to spread. On the flip side Alan is eager to meet Elliot's mother much to Elliot's dismay and by accident Elliot convinces his mother that he is actually engaged to Josh. And those lies continue to spread as well.

This was a very good episode to continue to develop and get rid of characters. as well as introduce to character of Elliot's mother, after the episode where Gabi first tells Elliot's parents about his being gay. Very well acted in the since of how each person responded to the lies. I absolutely loved the role of Elliot's mother and I hope she comes back. I'm also very curious about what there going to do with Sofia now that she lost her job. But over all a very good episode.

Young and Hungry Review Season 2 Episode 12 "Young and Back to Normal"

Gabi meets a new boy but is hesitant to start dating him in fear of what Josh will think. So Gabi manages to find a girl for Josh only to find out the Girl has a weird hobby, and finding out that her own new boy is homeless. In the end finding out that for both her and Josh weird seems to be normal.

A very well weird episode compared to the others. I realize this end of the season is working towards trying to rebuild the relationship between Josh and Gabi before Gabi left for Switzerland. But this episode defiantly feels like one of the bad ones in the season that they wrote to reach their 20 episode minimum in a season. Because this episode felt very awkward and off compared to the rest. Which I get there trying to introduce and develop characters but it just didn't fit. This what was a good but just really awkward episode.

Young and Hungry Season 2 Episode 11 Review

With Gabi return from Switzerland the struggle of attempted re-connection between her and Josh is hard with him not even wanting to talk to her. And with Gabi getting a new chef job with a man who just became Josh's new neighbor and possible boss the discomfort reaches new levels. Will it all work out.

This show is still keeping up with the funny and great writing. I initially got the wrong date thinking that this show is coming back a week later then it did. But I still watched the episode and loved it . I mean I think the writers thought that the viewers were a little dumber then reality with the "I have a thing for your cook," line wanting me to think he is talking about Gabi when I knew right away that the new neighbor wasn't. and I'm very exited to see where they'll take the show next with Gabi and Josh are back to being "just" friends.
