The Defenders Season 1 Review

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up to fight crime in New York City.

This was a very good first season that wasn't the best out of all the Netflix Marvel series but it was so good. Out of all of them, I would rank it number three or four so the list would go, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Defenders or season 2 of Daredevil, season 1 of Daredevil, then Iron Fist. This show was a lot of fun to see what they did with each of the main characters and how they all fit together. It was a little disappointing how the show seemed to focus mostly on Daredevil and Iron Fist and Jessica and Luke seemed to be left behind as little more than side characters. But it kind of makes sense because the whole thing is about fighting the hand and Matt and Danny have the most experience with that. And the one thing I was worried about did happen and that was with all the fighting scenes and how Jessica seemed to be out of her element, but she still kind of managed to hold her own so it was interesting to see her fight. Then everything with The Hand was interesting to watch with getting more fully introduced to each of the "five fingers" of The Hand and just seeing how each of them interacted with each other. I was a little disappointed in what they did with the character of Alexandra because they put her out there as being this really big bad but in my opinion, she didn't really do much she mostly just hid behind the Black Sky and sat around. Then everything with Electra/ Black Sky was kind of cool to see how they decided to take her character. It was a little annoying how everytime Daredevil and Black Sky got into a fight it was for the most part just them talking. But I do have to say overall this was a really great first season and I super excited to see where they will go next with The Punisher and Jessica Jones season 2.

Jessica Jones Season 1 Review

Jessica Jones (2015) Poster

A former superhero decides to reboot her life by becoming a private investigator.

This was a very amazing, thrilling, and intense first season that I absolutely could not stop watching I just had to know what would happen next for Jessica. This series defiantly seemed to flow a lot better then Dare Devil's first season. With Jessica Jones it really seemed to hit the ground running from the first season with the level of action towards the main plot of getting Kilgrave while in Dare Devil it took a few episode to get to know the characters and stuff before getting into the main plot. Everyone was so well acted and I was so invested with every character and I can wait to find out what might happen with all of them next. The whole season was really well written in the light of what they kept secret and when they choice to give certain facts. Over all this was an amazing first season and I really want more and I'm disappointed that I have to wait a year to get it.
                                 ************* Possible Spoiler Alert************
The cop Will Simpson really bugged me from the vary begging of introducing him and now that he has been taking those pills and has basically become a super solder I really kind of hop the next season involves Jessica tracking him down and taking him out. The Idea of having Malcolm as the person stalking Jessica and taking pictures for Kilgrave I think was genius because no one would ever think of him because he always seemed to high he could barely walk on his own. Kilgrave's abilities where really awesome, but I want to know when he was improving his powers near the end he said some thing about his abilities being able to work within 100 feet/yards so then could he be that far away from someone and still give them a command even though they might not be able to directly hear it or did that just mean it works the strongest when he is with in a 100 feet/yards of the person he is controlling. And also his powers adjust the way you think about how to carry out his command like when he told Trish to put a bullet in her head if you were clever enough even under his control could you think to just put the bullet in your mouth or is their more power behind his commands then what is explained. The ending battle was amazing and using Trish as bait to get Jessica to sneak in and having the secret code word between the two of them to prove Jessica is not under Kilgrave's control being "I love you" I think was very clever. I am just amazed still because I was not expecting to love this series as much as I did.

Ascension Review

What if in the wake of the cold war and the fear of total human annihilation the U.S.A sent up a group of the brightest adults and children into space to find a new home and continue on the human race. At least that is how the show Ascension put it. But not all is how it seems for this group of people stuck with the 60's style of doing things.

This was a really great series that I'm happy I found on Netflix and decide to start watching. It is a very great and well written series (especially for Syfy) that kept my interest through out just waiting to see if the characters will uncover the true secrets of there space craft. Every main character is very well developed and each have there own interesting stories.

Black Mirror Review

A British adult branch of the twilight zone that will keep you head spinning in ever episode. I had know idea what this was when the first episode started and ended leaving me with so many unanswered questions and the second episode starts in a whole mew world not connected at all. It wasn't until I finished the first season (first 3 episodes) that I even realized, okay this is like the twilight zone. Each episode you think you can predict what's going on and what will happen next but trust me when I say no matter how crazy your guess is it will never reach the craziness of the actual endings to each episode. Each episode leaving my mind confused and hurting but still always begging for more. Each episode is so unexplainable in ideas ranging anywhere from the prime minister having sex with a pig, to a new form of criminal punishment, to a cartoon bear running for government. Each episode so dark and clever, and I recommended this series to anyone who liked the old twilight zone series or to anyone who wants a new dark mind turning series. (my brain still hurts from all the twists and turns of watching it even now)

Sleepover Review

This review is on the movie the sleepover which i watched on Netflix. And this movie is a very average pre-teen movie. it is about a group of girls having and end of the school year sleepover and the popular girls challenge them to a scvenger hunt for a spot during lunch the following school year when they all start high school. The tree task are to dress some maicans at old navy in your clothes, get a guy to buy you a drink and a club, and then get a pair of boxers from a guy that the main charicter likes.
Over all I think it was a good pre-teen movie for 2006 especially if it was made for TV and not for theaters which I believe it was. It had a lot of funny and awkward moments in it and even though it goes like most movies go it still made you want to stick around and watch to see who wins. And it had a lot of good actors in it. I give the movie three happy faces. :) :) :)
