Riverdale Season 2 Episode 7 "Chapter Twenty: Tales from the Darkside" Review

The town remains on edge after a chilling letter from the Black Hood challenges the town's residents to remain sinless for 48 hours, or he'll strike again.

This was a really great and exciting episode that was really fun to watch with how they decided to stylize the whole story of the episode. And with that, I really enjoyed that style because they decide to go about repeating the same 48 hours over and over but each time it was with a different set of the main characters and just showing what each of them did within those 48 hours. And the first chunk with Archie and Jughead was interesting with them to going to do this drug run for the Serpent's and just everything that they encountered with that was interesting to see what all it revealed for the possibility of the masked man. And I'm very interested to see how that connection might come out going forward with them learning about this old killer in Riverdale known as the Reaper I believe. Then the second part revolved around Cheryl and Josie and Josie trying to go about her normal life but a lot of things keep getting in the way. And when the truth was revealed about what Cheryl is actually doing I'm very interested to see what might happen if that truth actually comes out. Then everything with Veronica and Betty was interesting but probably the weakest point in the episode in my opinion because it felt like they were leading up to this big reveal secret but it was not really anything new in my opinion. I did really like those split opinion between Veronica and Betty about what the sheriff is up to and both of them trying to prove the other one wrong and how they each one went about doing that was interesting to see but then actual truth like I said what the sheriff was doing wasn't all that exciting but it will be interesting to see when that does eventually come out for everyone know. And just overall this was a really interesting and exciting episode and I'm very interested to see what they're going to do with the story going forward.
