Manifest Season 1 Episode 10 "Crosswinds" Review

Michaela's next-level callings are accompanied by hallucinations. Ben exploring Michaela's calling leads him to a new alliance and a powerful new adversary.
This was a very interesting episode that took a bunch of different directions and did a good job of setting up for where the story is going to lead with all the mystery surrounding the missing plane. Everything with Michaela in this episode was interesting with her looking into these weird callings she has that are going completely overboard, versus the weird voices and visions that she's had in the past and her trying to link it to different things. And she eventually makes this discovery around one of the missing but now found passengers were interesting with how she took it when this passenger started talking and her trying to figure out his whole back story. Then everything with the missing passengers that have now been found was great with them still being comatose and Saanvi sort of working to find a way to care for them until they are stable enough to take care of themselves again. Then Autumn Cox coming in and working against Ben and Michaela but also somewhat for them was interesting with how she initially wanted to get away and be friends with them but this mysterious Major and all the forces bring her back in to be their enemy was fun to see what's going to happen there once the truth comes out. Then everything with Jared was just odd with him still trying to grapple whether or not he loves Michaela or Loudes more. Then just overall this was a really fun and entertaining episode and I'm really excited to see what they're going to do next.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 9 "Dead Reckoning" Review

When Ben and Michaela put everything on the line to save the other missing passengers, the mission goes horribly awry and not everyone makes it out alive.

This was a really great and interesting episode that had a very great storyline to it that was great to see play out and bring up the tension. All the steps that everyone went through to finally uncover were the missing passengers are being held and how everyone played into things was great to see everyone working together. I did have a problem with how heavily Jared is following Michaela and wouldn't really let her do anything on her own. Seeing Ben and Vance working together was great to see that Vance truly is a good guy just trying to figure everything out. Then Cal showing up and helping everyone figure things out because of his visions was really great especially with the moment with him making the comment the Ben is the only one who can guide everyone to safety was weird but great with Ben seeing a path that no one else could see. Which then lead to the other group that wasn't with Ben getting lost and hurt. Killing off Vance was surprising and I'm very curious to see what they might happen now that he is no longer there as a higher up to help. And I'm also curious to see what might happen to all these missing passengers now that they are saved but still comatose. Then overall this was a really great episode and I'm so excited to see what will happen next.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 8 "Point of No Return" Review

Ben forms an unlikely partnership with Vance in a high-stakes race to locate the missing passengers; Michaela helps a suicidal passenger; Cal goes back to school.

This was a really entertaining episode that had a good storyline to it and it was interesting to see how everything turned out. The moments between Vance and Ben were interesting with Ben continuing to try and locate the facility that the missing passengers are being held at. It was especially great in how Ben gathered information and what other passengers were willing to help Ben and Vance out. Then it was interesting to see how much other groups are hiding from Vance and the NSA. Everything with Michaela and her adventure through this episode was interesting with her finding a possible connection between telling people about the callings and those same people ending up dead shortly after. How Michaela and Ben reacted to this news and what they did to protect those they care about and working to figure out if trouble is coming or not was just all really interesting. Then Cal going back to school was just really sweet with some of his old friends gathering up to have a good time with him again. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I'm so excited to see what will happen next.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 7 "S.N.A.F.U." Review

Michaela tries to make sense of her newest calling; Ben goes to risky lengths to investigate the whereabouts of 11 missing Flight 828 passengers.

This was a really interesting episode that had some good moments to it. Everything with Ben was interesting with his new job that is actually him secretly looking for more information on the missing passengers. Just seeing Ben forming all these relationships with his coworkers just to get information out of them was really great. Then finally seeing Vance joining in with the investigation and working with Ben is something I’m really excited to see. Michaela’s moments in this episode was really great with her dealing with this shooting that took place with the only witness not wanting to work with the detectives. And Michaela’s whole speech on what revenge is really like and all her work to stop this kid was really great. Then the truth is revealed about Michaela’s connection to this kid and really felt like a great way to wrap up Michaela’s whole dead friend storyline. Then just overall this was a really great episode that was so much fun to watch.

Manifest Season 1 Epiosde 6 "Off Radar" Review

Cal wakes with a life-threatening fever; Ben and Michaela look for a missing Flight 828 passenger and discover more than they bargained for.

This was a really interesting but also kind of confusing episode that was still really cool to see how everything went and turned out. Everything with Cal in this episode was really interesting with him having this shared connection with this guy that is among the missing passengers. The part that kind of bugged me was with Grace and when she finally got Ben to admit what has been going on with his and she chose not to believe him and instead thought of it as him looking for an answer to what was going on with Cal. And that was just really weird to me how quickly Grace chose to brush Ben off. My favorite moments in this episode revolved around Michaela and Jared looking into these black sites and just how they went about sneaking in was really fun. Then what all went down when things started to be made more public was interesting to see what happened when Vance started looking into things. Then just overall this was an okay episode with some good moments to it.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 5 "Connecting Flights" Review

Stories unfold for those left behind in the aftermath of Flight 828's disappearance; Cal takes Ben on a mysterious adventure.

This was a really interesting episode that had a lot of really good moments to it. I really enjoyed this episode focused on what life was like for the family and friends of those who went missing on Flight 828. Everything with Grace and Olive was well done with them telling the story of how they dealt with there loss and how Grace started to move on with Danny and Olive refusing to believe that her brother and father were dead. I do wish they would have shown more of Olive's "bad attitudes" because the last episode they made a big deal out of Olive being a trouble and rambunctious teen but all they really showed in this episode was that she was having a hard time getting over her families deaths and she didn't much care for Grace's new boyfriend. Then I also enjoyed seeing how Jared and Lourdes got together because of there shared loss and it was fun to see how even Michaela's parents were okay with Jared choosing to move on. Then the moments in current time with Jared were interesting with him dealing with the consequences of the last episode and Michaela and other are trying to convince him to tell the truth but him not willing to let Michaela take the fall. Then the moments with Ben and Cal were great with Ben deciding to ignore the voice in his head and making all the choices in his day out with Cal by a flip of a coin. Then how those coin flips and voice all leading to some truths of what is going on with Cal and how "everything is connected" was a really great way to bring Ben back into the world he was trying to escape from. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I'm interested to see what will happen next with it being reviled that Cal is more connected with the truth of what happened to them.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 4 "Unclaimed Baggage" Review

Saanvi enlists Ben's help in uncovering a secret about the plane; Michaela begins to question the nature of the callings when one goes horribly awry.

This was a really great episode that had a lot of really great moments to it and it was really interesting to see how everything played out. Everything with Ben was interesting with him continuing to try and grow a relationship with Olive and her not knowing where they stand. Then the scene with Ben finally meeting Danny was a great way to finally introduce Danny and it really shows the divide in the family with how much Danny has always been there for Olive. Then the moments with Michaela were interesting with one of the voices in her head finally going wrong and she ends up outing a major undercover agent. Then the fact that Jared took the blame for her was interesting and I wonder what she is going to do to save him. I really enjoyed the ending scene with Jared having this map that laid out all the locations of Michaela's odd behaviors. Then the shared visions between Saanvi and Michaela were interesting in how they were similar and how they were different with Saanvi seeing a woman who was soaking wet and she followed the wet footprints to where she needed to go. Then Michaela seeing a stone angel giving her a quest to save him also leading her to where she needed to go eventually catching up with Saanvi. The whole story around the stowaway was so great with the flight attendant bringing him from Jamaica after he spoke out against the government. But he was a stowaway so when they landed he had to hide and escape from the authorities so he didn't know that they were 4 years in the future and when a stranger found him they thought he was crazy which is so sad that he was hospitalized and heavily drugged because he was uninformed about what is going on. The whole escape to save the stowaway from the NSA was really great with how they all barely missed each other. Then overall this was a really great and I'm really curious to see what will happen next with how this episode ended.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 3 "Turbulence" Review

Ben and Michaela investigate a shocking murder in fear that it's connected to Flight 828.

This was a great episode that was really interesting to see how everything played out, but it was also kind of messy by the end with how they chose to wrap everything up. Everything with Ben dealing with trying to protect his family while also trying to fit into Grace's life was interesting with how he reacted when things went wrong. Then the relationship between Cal and Olive was really great with them dealing with the concept of them being twins but not exactly because they now are not the same age, then the added pressure that Olive is now dating Cal's old best friend. The moments with Michaela were really great with them finally showing a bit more of what happened to her and her friend during the car crash. I especially love them showing the scene where it made it really obvious that Michaela had no choice to drive that night because her friend wouldn't wait for an uber and was going to drive if Michaela didn't and her friend was far drunker then she was. Then it was so well done in the scene where Michaela was able to get over her fear of driving in order to save her dead friend's mother. The whole murder sequence was really weird with how they made everything flow from who was accused of the murder, who was the main suspect, and who actually committed the crime. Where the guy accused was just someone who was obsessed with the passengers on Flight 828 and he was just there to save her life after he heard the gunshot. Then the husband of the women who was murdered seemed like a major suspect with the way he was acting but he had such a good alibi he couldn't have committed the crime. Then the maid being the actual murder because she was a scorned lover was the weirdest part because they did little set that up to make that part make sense because she was in love with the murdered woman's husband and they were happy together until the women came back and ruined their happiness and that is why the maid murdered her that is just a weird explanation. And I was really disappointed that they didn't go into more detail with the shadow person that was set up in the last episode. And then just overall this was a really great episode that had some good moments to it.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 2 "Reentry" Review

The passengers find themselves under government scrutiny; Ben tries to help a fellow passenger reconnect with his son; Cal is approached by an obsessive stranger; Grace and Olive disagree over revealing a devastating secret.

This was a really interesting episode that had some great moments to it. Everything around Ben and Radd was really great with there journey to prove Radd's son innocent of the robbery he was framed for. The actual reveal of who the robber was and why they were willing to let Radd's son take the fall was interesting but it also felt a little rushed and felt like they just picked someone random to be the real villain. Everything with Michaela was great with her working to get her job back and find her own place in the world but she also is having to confront everything she managed to avoid for five years. Then Michaela confronting her friend about the marriage and everything was interesting with the fact that Michaela was willing to lie about not wanting to marry Jared but we as viewers know otherwise. Then Cal struggling to get back to a normal life was interesting with how they chose to show it by having him missing his own stuff. The only part that bugged me about that was how long it took Olive to reveal that she kept all of Cal's stuff because she could see how much pain he was in but yet she waited several days to get his stuff. Then Ben discovering Grace's other man was weird with how they chose to approach it with Ben figuring it out when he helped Oliver pick up Cal's stuff. Then how Ben confronted Grace about it was weird because he kind of made this seem like he was saying look I don't care what you did while I was gone but I'm here now so just focus on me, and that was odd how willing Grace was to just abandon this other guy for Ben. Then just overall this was an interesting and great episode and I'm excited to see what will happen in the next episode.

Manifest Season 1 Episode 1 "Pilot" Review

When a plane that disappeared five years ago returns, those onboard must piece together their old lives while dealing with mysterious voices in their heads.

This was a really interesting episode that didn't really fix my wariness about this show but it did do a good job of setting up the plot of the show. I am a bit wary of this show because I feel it will focus too much of the people and not of the mystery of what happened to there plane that made it disappear for 5 years, which is the main reason I'd watch the show, for the mystery. Everything around the Stone family was very interesting with Ben dealing with the fact of coming home to a teenage daughter and a wife who has lived five years without him. Grace and Olive dealing with the return of these family members who they thought were dead. And Michaela dealing with her old life being gone and she has to pick up the little pieces she has left to try and build a life from. Then Ben and Michaela hearing there own voices in there heads telling them things over and over again trying to get them to do things was interesting with how these voices lead them to certain events later on in the story. And I really did enjoy how these voices eventually lead to solving the side story case around the two missing girls. Saanvi's whole story in this episode was interesting with her past work being something that connected to the Stone family in the present with her work now being able to help Cal. The ending of this episode was really interesting with how most of the passengers returning to the airport where they landed just to watch the plane explode. And I'm very curious to see how the investigation into the disappearance will go now that the plane is gone so all the investigator have to look into is the passengers. I also really hope that they focus more on some of the other passengers in the future and a little less on the Stone family just to keep things more interesting. Then just overall this was a really great episode and I'm curious to see what will happen next.
